Related to Dave?

Are you related to the SF Giants "Comeback" pitcher? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.176.12.55 (talk) 01:36, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Not in any meaningful way, no. - Dravecky (talk) 03:40, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Nice!

Not seen the refs=listdefined trick before. Did you convert them all manually in Martin CJ Mongiello, or is there an automated trick to doing it? Fiddle Faddle (talk) 00:12, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

Manually (which is the easy part) after updating the references with complete info using the proper templates (the hard part). - Dravecky (talk) 04:22, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

WZTQ

Geez, I take a quick break for some lunch, and I come back and all the link updating is done! ;>) Mlaffs (talk) 18:19, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Heh, sometimes I can't help myself. WZTQ is one of the stations on my watchlist. - Dravecky (talk) 18:31, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
No worries — I laughed pretty hard over here. Mlaffs (talk) 19:49, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Can you wikify the above title since it is straight and not slanted? - AsianFLS (talk) 18:18, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

Fixed it. - Dravecky (talk) 18:38, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

Do you think you could have a look at this?

The proposed hook is genuinely unsuitable. I've left a comment to that effect. - Dravecky (talk) 11:24, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
I have choosen your first ALT1, the one about Holly crying more than contestants, please may you put it in thte queue now? Many thanks — M.Mario (T/C) 12:11, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
I proposed no alternate hooks and am no longer actively involved with DYK. - Dravecky (talk) 12:20, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Quotation marks vs. italics

Is there a reference that mentions how TV series titles and TV episode titles are supposed to be displayed? I saw you effectively reverted my changes on the template {{Knight Rider}}. Also, are you at all related to former Major League Baseball player Dave Dravecky? Allen (talk) 21:26, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Yes, there is a reference: Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Titles Also, that's common styling for almost every English-language style guide with which I am familiar. No, "cousin" Dave and I are not related in any biologically meaningful way, although I did get to meet him once on a book tour. (My user page lists several other Draveckys who I am not, if you're interested.) - Dravecky (talk) 23:54, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for clearing that up. I think I was getting that confused with the album vs. song title issue.
Where on your page is the Dravecky list? Allen (talk) 01:53, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
In the "About me" section, in the paragraph that begins "For the record". - Dravecky (talk) 13:02, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
