Thagarasi is a village in the Kundapur taluk of Udupi district. As of 2011, Thagarasi has a total population of 3108 people consisting of 1716 male and 308 female residents. The village occupies a total area of 1847.88 hecatres with a population density of 1.682 people per hectare. As of 2011, the total literacy rate was 71.2% which was higher than the national average of 59.5%.[1]
