Copyright problem fixed for draft

Hi, I fixed the copyright problems you marked for the page: Draft:Valentina Lombardo. Can you check if now can be ok? thanks (G3n10z (talk) 10:57, 15 November 2018 (UTC))

Oh thanks! Nice tool the dupdet report! Can you approve the draft? Bye G3n10z (talk) 18:02, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Ok thanks G3n10z (talk) 08:40, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for cleaning up my mess. I wasn't quite sure how to proceed with the articles already having a draft in draftspace. Actually I'm not quite sure what to do with মৃগাংক they keep creating articles with no references. And any attempts notify them as to what they are doing wrong quickly gets deleted off their talk page. --Whispering(t) 17:44, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

Held & Hines Draft Text Request

Hi RHaworth, You recently deleted my draft page: Draft:Held & Hines. I was not too clear on how citing worked, and what counted as verifiable sources. This was also my first time editing a Wikipedia page, and I will continue to read the rules/guidelines so that I could provide acceptable content. May I have the original text so that I can continue to edit? Thank you! Evelyn.yz.mau (talk) 17:51, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

  • Text emailed but kindly have the decency to wait until someone who has half a clue about what a Wikipedia article should look like and does not have any CoI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:40, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Deleted Page-Lawren Brianna Ware

Hello!br> You recently deleted the page which I had been working on for Lawren Brianna Ware due to "unambiguous advertising or promotion." I feel that is incorrectly done as I did make sure to follow Wikipedia guidelines, and based the page off those of similar composers like Kate Soper (composer) and Jennifer Higdon. Wikipedia states to attempt to resolve with the deleting administrator before anything else. I hold no connection to the composer, it was purely for an assignment. If you still feel it should stay deleted, could I please have access to the deleted page for Lawren Brianna Ware? Thank you. Jonlukemartin (talk) 18:13, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

  • Restored. What sort of "assignment"? If it is a paid assignment, you must declare it.
Natureium, I know it is spammy and Jon probably has a CoI but it is in draft space, so please allow it six months to live. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:40, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

A school assignment. I had to make a wikipedia page for a composer who wasn't a white male. I'm not paid to make it, unless you count a grade as a form of payment. I, still, have no personal connection with the composer. — Jonlukemartin (talk) 18:35, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

B. J. Snowden

Did you bother to compare the article (B. J. Snowden) that was AfDed and the one I wrote? They bear little resemblance to each other. For one thing, I added a number of reliable sources from mainstream newspapers. For another thing, the deletion rationale at the AfD wasn't valid, as the subject clearly satisfied the GNG (significant coverage in multiple, reliable sources). I openly requested userfication of this at WP:REFUND. Your A7 is improper, as the article makes claims of notability (featured on the BBC, appearances on two major evening TV talk shows, a full chapter dedicated to her in Irwin Chusid's book: pretty much the basis for notability of outsider musicians in general). Please restore the article. EnPassant (talk) 18:22, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for undeleting B. J. Snowden. Enjoy your weekend! — EnPassant (talk) 15:21, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Yangfeng Automotive

Hello, if I see well, 8 minutes after marking the article YFAI for deletion you deleted it. That was a pretty speedy deletion without chance to contest it. Now I see you hopefully could provide me with the deleted material so I will be able to think about a more compliant article in the future. Thank you in advance.

And one more question to you as an experienced and long-term editor: As I fully understand the general criteria about notability, I did not think that a company employing 30+ thousands people in many countries in three continents, delivering to all major automotive producers and giving pace in its branche should/could be not "notable."

Do you think, the entry "YFAI" could be suitable for the Wiktionary? I wrote that article also having in mind that people could find what is behind these four leters, besides the above mentioned facts. Regards, ChJn (talk) 22:30, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

  • No! YFAI is not suitable for Wiktionary! I did wonder as I deleted it why a company with 30k employees had not been in Wikipedia for ages. The answer is that it does not sell to the general publick and probably does not advertise outside of trade papers. Restored. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:40, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Free Republic of Liberland

Excuse me please. May I be knowing precisely why eight days ago Free Republic of Liberland was deleted by you, and why it stands now? Why could the details I pasted onto the article not just be blanked and redirected? --Ishmailer (talk) 09:39, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

  • "Details I pasted onto the article not just be blanked" - there are quite enough edits by you in Liberland that have been blanked. We do not need more lurking behind redirects at other titles. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:17, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Hello. I saw that the draft I made for creating a biography article has been deleted. Saw the references that you've added, but I'm not sure of the steps that I took wrong. If you have a minute can you guide me more easily through the process of publishing my first article here? Draft:Greighwolfe. • If you are satisfied that the guy is notable, try writing an article entirely in your own words. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:17, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Ok, so the problem here was the style of writing right? Yes I guess there are some issues since neither am I a blogger/writter, and this is my first try to publish a Wiki article. If so, what is the correct way to reproduce an improved version of that. Keep the writing more simplified with no external sources, and just to express my impression of the artist. And also one more question: do I start the whole process in a new 'draft' or ? Thanks for the response also. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doychinborisov (talkcontribs)

Edit summaries

re. your edit summary here - probably not a good idea to use that as an abbreviation for "removing"... you may want to pop it in Wikipedia's Search bar and see what comes up (not if you're at work, though). Yunshui  10:49, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

  • So why be shy about using the word rimming? It means walking a rim such as the Pacific Rim or the Burma Rim. If you think it means something else, you have a dirty mind! (OK, I was well aware of the word's most common meaning. I used in the edit summary as a joke. There ain't much scope for humour here, please allow me what little I can manage.) — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:17, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

London School of Samba

Hi RHaworth, Re: Draft:London School of Samba. I cannot get a page established for this group and I keep going round in circles. The London School of Samba was the first samba school in the UK (1984). This, I believe is significant. The first band of a specific genre of music in the UK, that is now popular worldwide (and all over the UK). Wikipedia has a page for samba schools and a page for samba thus I think the London School of Samba as the first group is worthy of a page.

I logged on today to edit an article and noticed some messages about this, and thought I would contact you. Wikipedia editors have told me they need credible sources - I found two below (from the BBC),I can find others. I would like to put up a brief page for the group. Can I have your thoughts on this? Kind regards, Mags Samba (talk) 14:13, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Accidentally Deleting an Article

Hi RHaworth. Hope you're well. I've just noticed that you seem to have deleted an article I wrote about much loved and forgotten UK singer Hank Purvis. The reason given was "Blatant hoax". I think this might be a mistake or a misunderstanding. I tried my best to give proper sources. Obviously it's quite hard to provide sufficient references for an article about a public figure that has been erased from musical history. But I can assure you I have tried my best to be as accurate as possible.

It has taken me some time to compile this document; a document about a person who I fear may unjustly slip through the cracks of time. I hope you can relate to my anxiety about the speed of the modern world. People are so focused on the next Kanye West, Taylor Swift or who-have-you, that artists like Hank Purvis are forgotten. It would mean a great deal if there was somehow a way of un-deleting the article I have put so much effort in creating. I understand that you may be busy and you may have other priorities, but from one grumpy old man to another, I hope you can find time to rectify this clerical error. Yours sincerely, Frank Foucault — Preceding unsigned comment added by FrankFoucault (talkcontribs) 17:56, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

Deleting a student sandbox

Hello, I saw you just deleted my student's sandbox, User:Modono3/sandbox because of "unambiguous advertising". This was a sandbox of a student learning how to edit. They are enrolled in this course. The reason it didn't have a tag is because they were cleaning up the sandbox to get it ready for mainspace. The article was about a local Chicago nonprofit that they are proud of, and they are learning how to write in a more objective, neutral manner. Please restore it. — ZachMcDowell (talk) 11:16, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

  • You should be setting an example to your students by providing a link to the page about which you are talking. Restored. Never mind peer review by other students, I also want to see it reviewed by a regular draft reviewer. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:38, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Re: Anthony Bell Autobiography

Hi RHaworth, I have now an updated written autobiography of Anthony Bell, may I please ask for your review for me to know if the said updated article is can be uploaded or added here in Wikipedia. Just kindly let me know if my article still requires an improvement and I will be happy to do it to suit in your and in Wikipedia's requirements. Thank you, — Preceding unsigned comment added by SarahReal (talkcontribs)

User:SarahReal - I see that you are spamming other editors with the biography of Anthony Bell. That isn't likely to be useful. I don't think that I can give a yes-no answer to your question of whether it "still requires an improvement" because I don't think that it is capable of being improved to Wikipedia standards of neutrality, at least not as long as Bell is using an employee who hasn't made the required conflict of interest declarations and who doesn't understand the autobiography policy. — Robert McClenon (talk) 08:50, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

Regarding Artisan Furniture Deletion

Hi, RHaworth. I am writing this in regards of deletion of the Artisan Furniture page that I created. However, I have gone through the Wikipedia guidelines, A7 and G11, and did curate the content accordingly to meet the same. The content is purely non-promotional and encyclopedic. I respect your decision and such a great experience with Wikipedia and would like to modify the content accordingly with your help in order to facilitate everyone with the required piece of information. Looking forward to your response. Thank you. Warm Regards Arushi Jain — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arushij94 (talkcontribs) 13:10, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

Notis

Deleted page Draft:Notis (G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement of https://open.spotify.com/artist/6HfSqCuZgcjne1e8n1Y8to). My draft page Notis (Draft:Notis) has been immediately deleted by you though I had already applied a reasoning to do not so via "contest this speedy deletion" button. While I was waiting for further instructions from you I got, without further notice, a deletion!

I am the author of the main text of the article and indeed it has already been uploaded by me to several webpages (they mentioned in the contest that I have applied) as a kind of an artist biography form. Unfortunately as I have already mentioned in the deleted Notis talk page there is also a copy of my text as a leftover at a wrong artist page bio in Spotify due to artist synonymity. Spotify logged me in at first to a wrong (synonymous) account. Spotify then separated my account from the wrong previous one but the related text, that I had uploaded in the meantime, has remained as a leftover to the wrong artist profile. Because Draft:Notis is my first entry in wikipedia and it took me a lot of time to built it, please restore the entry for reconsideration. Thanks in advance. Waiting for instructions. — Panagiotis Notis Liapis (wiki user: Libation7)--Libation7 (talk) 17:19, 22 November 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Libation7 (talkcontribs) 15:46, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

  • Never mind copyvio, it was blatant self-promotion. Take it to DRV if you must. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:08, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

I agreed; it was blatant yes but not as self-promotion. It was a blatant warning message. Nevertheless, after reading all relevant wiki rules and instructions I realized that a subjective text is not allowed due to the encyclopedic nature of Wikipedia. I respect that but, mine request for you it was to restore the deleted draft for reconsideration and I meant by that for me to try complying with wiki rules so to avoid recreating the entry from the very start as I am an amateur user. Thank you for your attention. Best regards, --Libation7 (talk) 19:55, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Deletion of Draft:Global Wireless Solutions

Hi @RHaworth, I noticed you deleted Draft:Global Wireless Solutions citing unambiguous advertising or promotion. This is something I was trying to resolve and was using the Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk to understand what areas can be improved. I was in the process of cleaning the draft of all advertising language at the time of its deletion and was hoping you would be able to restore it, so I can continue to do so. If you do so, I will have an edited draft for you to assess as soon as possible. Thank you, Scwiki3 (talk) 00:19, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

User:Sciwiki3 - In other words, you were trying to rework the article so that it was subtle unobvious advertising and promotion. I think that I am satisfied that it was caught and deleted early, because we don't want either, and unambiguous advertising is speedy-deleted, and so not harmful as long as subtle advertising. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:35, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
User:Sciwiki3 - Oh. I owe you a very slight apology. You had declared in advance that your draft was for advertising purposes. It is nearly impossible for a paid editor to write a draft that will be neutral and satisfy Wikipedia. A business that hires a paid editor to get their plug into Wikipedia would be better off to spend the money on regular advertising in print media or electronic media. Just put it on your web site and pay Google to show it, and everyone will know it is advertising. But maybe you want people to believe it is neutral rather than advertising, while it is still really nothing but advertising. Well, that isn't what Wikipedia wants. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:41, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

User:RHaworth While I respect your opinion on paid editors, it is a completely legitimate position within the Wikipedia community and it is not appropriate for you to enforce your opinion on it. It is completely within the Wikipedia laws to be a paid editor and create a draft and I am doing it without any intentions of advertising. Global Wireless Solutions had a page for years, and I was only employed within the past few months to remove all promotional content. I did not add any promotional content and instead tried to remove all advertising language whatsoever. The page was then deleted by you I believe and it was suggested that I try working on a draft. I then submitted my first draft, which I have continued editing to make entirely encyclopedic. I completely understand your concern for advertising, and I truly am trying to make a 100% encyclopedic version of the Global Wireless Solutions page. I have complied with Wikipedia protocol and standards throughout this process and while I understand you have hesitations with paid editors, it is completely legal in the Wikipedia community. I sincerely ask for you to restore the page and allow me to submit a draft that is entirely objective and non-promotional. — Scwiki3 (talk) 22:11, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

  • What a load of waffle. I left you a three word message. Two of the words: read this are a link pointing to a page containing my recommendations. What is your objection to following those recommendations? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:22, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

Are you referring to the link that explains how to get an emailed copy of the deleted draft? Thanks, Scwiki3 (talk) 22:08, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

I have no objection to following those recommendations, however I am uncertain of what to do after I do. If I receive a copy of the deleted draft and then edit it according to the Wiki guidelines, will I be able to submit the new draft as an Article for Creation? If I am able to do this, then why not simply restore the original draft and allow me to edit it directly? Thank you, Scwiki3 (talk) 20:52, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

  • I was tempted to say: stop fussing and get on and re-create the page. But I will explain: yes it would be easier for me to simply restore the page but that would imply that I considered it likely to pass muster here. I do not consider it bad enough to do things like blocking you or protecting titles. I have not (yet) done either so yes, you can re-submit as an AfC. But I am not going to go so far as endorse it by restoring. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:38, 30 November 2018 (UTC)

I appreciate you giving me this opportunity. I have set up an email for you to send me the deleted draft. For the sake of submitting a new completely encyclopedic draft, would you be able to guide me as to where specifically the deleted draft needs work. I will remove any content you find unnecessary and alter any language you find promotional. Any general guidance would help massively. Thanks, Scwiki3 (talk) 21:05, 30 November 2018 (UTC)

  • Text emailed. Given my attitude, do you think there is any point in asking me for advice? But I will give you this: scan this page for places where I have used the word kindly. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:59, 1 December 2018 (UTC)

Deletion of user my user page

Inquiring about the deletion of my user page: EruannoVG. Can you specifically tell me why it falls under misuse? What I provided was simply a test page to focus on formatting and presentation, and on reading "U5:Misuse..." , I do not believe I have violated any of these rules. What I'd like to ask for is the restoration of the page, and if there are any additional considerations to be addressed so I can make changes accordingly, and to notify me first before any deletion of my user page is commissioned. Regards, EruannoVG (talk) 11:57, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

  • Neither of my machines has the fonts needed to view the page. All I see is a mass of rectangles. Possibly it may be useful to you as a user sub-page so I have restored it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:08, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Dear RHaworth, Thank you so much for restoring the deleted page, it's a font that uses private unicode mapping for the font "Tengwar Telcontar", as such without that font, it's as you say what you see, a mass of rectangles. I agree that a sub-page would be more suited to the task, and I will keep to that accordingly. Once again, thank you for your help and I greatly appreciate the time you've taken in reading my message. All the best. Kind regards,  EruannoVG (talk) 23:34, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Deletion of an article

The page details are as below. This page is actually the page for the first ever registered soccer fan club of India, we wanted to share the details of the Fan movement, the history of that movement. I am not sure whether you mean by promotion. This is an absolute NPO so there is no question of promotion. This is just to enrich people about the soccer club fan movement. I got a rejection that the submission was not supported by proper supported material, even before I rectify that problem, you deleted my page stating that it is a promotion page. This is unfair sir, very unfair. I can provide you already approved page of similar nature, e.g East Bengal Ultras if those can be approved I believe this should be too. As the content and the nature is very similar. The links is draft:Www.ebrp.in. Regards, Bisaktamanush (talk) 15:19, 23 November 2018 (UTC) bisaktamanush

  • Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no CoI thinks your club is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:08, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

So you mean to say that my only fault was that I was truthful and said that I was associated with this fan club. That is a new thing, because I can give you thousand example where the pages are created for organisations where the creator are the owner or the directly associated with them. And also there is no directly written rules in your COI where someone with a COI can not create a page. If that is the rule, I would request you to change the word from "strongly discouraged" to "is not allowed" Otherwise people have to start withholding their associations. Hopefully you will understand what I mean and have the decency of not teaching people decency for their truthfulness. — Bisaktamanush (talk) 17:08, 23 November 2018 (UTC)bisaktamanush

  • No. Your fault was writing with a CoI. I would have assumed CoI anyway without your use of {{userboxCOI}}. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:22, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

Then why the reason for rejection was not that in the first place? why double standard? obviously this is a nice way to keep you in top 10 percentile of wikis list of deletion. Anyway it is no point talking to a grumpy ild man( i am quoting someone here 🤣🤣) as it is pretty obvious you love to enjoy this power and fame. So I am resting my case here. Just a small suggestion don’t assume about things that you have no idea about. The first thing that should have been taught to you IT industry which you were once part of. and yeah if you think that it is a personal attack then for the first time you are correct. You are not assuming. Enjoy your 2 minute fame and spotlight. — Bisaktamanush (talk) 17:06, 24 November 2018 (UTC)bisaktamanush

Infobox settlement cleanup

Thanks for deleting Template:Infobox Chaco! I looked at what articles link to Template:Infobox Settlement and found more than 11000 articles still using "Infobox Settlement", now down to 9997. Still in 2018 people added it. I removed all additions after 2009, the year when the template was renamed, and removed almost all uses before 2006.

But Fucking, Austria is protected and now appears on the top of the list "What links here". Could you replace "Infobox Settlement" with "Infobox settlement" in that article?

The list "What links here" is sorted by date of creation, now one can more easily find new usages of "Infobox Settlement", if the articles in question have been created before 2006 of after 2009. Already found one source for many of the new uses after 2009, hopefully fixed now [1]. — 92.227.38.71 (talk) 00:59, 24 November 2018 (UTC)

  • I have fixed the fucking article but as to the rest my reaction is: using the version with capital S is harmless. If you can find someone to write a bot to fix them, do so, otherwise just leave them. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:22, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks a lot once more. Of the 20+ redirects only one is used: Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Infobox_region
Could you turn these two into direct calls of "Infobox settlement"? As an editor one cannot see from the source code, that it is redirect, and thus one cannot know if the fields are the same. BTW Infobox settlement now has 488826 transclusions. Will probably reach 500000 next year. — 77.13.86.194 (talk) 05:34, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Vandals list

Hey RHaworth I saw you deleted my page of vandals list but I saw that A 10 fireplane also has a page of list of vandals he keeps so I request you to please look into the matter. Denim11 (talk) 16:04, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

I have never had anyone concerned about my vandals list, even had admins complement me on it. I see no reason as why Denim11 (talk · contribs)s should be deleted A 10 fireplane (talk) 16:31, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)A 10 fireplane, keeping on-wiki lists of other editor's wrongdoings has been repeatedly been found to be in violation of WP:POLEMIC, with the narrow exception of a very short term gathering of diffs associated with filing a complicated ANI or ARBCOM report, after which the page must be blanked. I'd be interested in seeing the diffs where an administrator has complimented you for keeping such a list. I was just getting ready to file an MfD in your list, but I thought giving you the chance to remove it voluntarily would be the better way to go. Input from RH would be appreciated here. John from Idegon (talk) 00:01, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
John from Idegon I'm not keeping track of what they have done wrong, I'am keeping track of what I have done to them A 10 fireplane (talk) 03:27, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Update: @John from Idegon: I have blanked the pages where I stored this 'list' thank you for giving me the chance to remove it voluntarily A 10 fireplane (talk) 03:33, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
    • Thanks, A 10 fireplane. You're obviously a very productive editor, and I'd have to see you have unneeded issues over silly little things. Keep up your good work! John from Idegon (talk) 04:50, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
  • I agree that it is best not keep such lists in public view. A useful addition to the watchlist system would be to receive a notification whenever a named user does any edit. I keep the user pages of vandals in my watchlist and you can do the same. And of course you can keep a list on your own computer. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:46, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
  • No problem, thank y'all for letting me know and allowing me to fix it. Y'all are role modles for other admins. A 10 fireplane (talk) 14:54, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Deleted User page content

Hello Roger, you deleted the content of my User page. I am happy to accept the deletion. Nonetheless, I was under the impression that it is the place to provide the supporting documentation-links, such as the COI and other supporting material related to my Wiki-Draft. Greetings, Zsolt Zsoltnyiri (talk) 11:12, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

On 1 November, RHaworth protected this page on a version which he had created himself. This action seems to lack consensus as Thincat says "The advice the deleting admin gives at User talk:RHaworth/2018 Nov 16#Ethics of animal research article deletion is very poor and should only be construed as advice, not to be enforced by article protection." and the admin action seems contrary to involved. Protecting this page title indefinitely seems excessive as it is quite notable – there are entire books written with this title – see The Ethics of Animal Research, for example. Please revert. Andrew D. (talk) 12:35, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

  • On Nov 13 I wrote: "what is your objection to discussing the matter at talk:animal testing? Have you considered launching the article via AfC? Please reply to both questions." I am still waiting for a reply. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:46, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

The editor who created the article, ExistentialMariachi ,has not edited since they took the matter to DRV, which is where I found it. They therefore seem to have been driven off by RHaworth's action per WP:BITE. I am now taking an interest in the topic and agree with Thincat that protection is inappropriate. As we are both experienced editors, RHaworth should please revert the protection placed upon the redirect or explain upon what basis he is protecting his own edit. Andrew D. (talk) 15:38, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

  • So my two questions are now addressed to you. All the edits by the Mariachi are accessible. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:56, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Take paces away from Wikipedia

Inquiring about the deletion of my user page: Pace hire Can you specifically tell me why it falls ambiguous promotion? I do not believe I have violated any of these rules. What I'd like to ask for is the restoration of the page, and if there are any additional considerations to be addressed so I can make changes accordingly, happy to rewrite etc. to meet the conditions it is my first article and to notify me first before any deletion of my user page is commissioned. Regards, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ahsanalihasmi (talkcontribs) 14:27, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

  • You have never created any user pages but in any case kindly have the decency to wait until someone who has no CoI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:46, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Placebo studies and effects deletion

Hi, I really need the content of my article (placebo studies and effects) for a project at school. If there is any way to send it via email please do. Thanks! Alexandra Green Acg064 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Acg064 (talkcontribs) 15:15, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

  • So how can I find it without a link? and before you say you cannot provide a link because it has been deleted, read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:56, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

TradingView article

Dear Roger W Haworth, we have spoken before about the deletion of the TradingView article on August 16th. You said it was deleted because of a tag your colleague Alpha3031 (talk · contribs) had applied. I have since spoken to him and he said I could ask you for a review of the decision to delete the article. I did not write it or contribute to it, but I did use it several times and I don’t think it was any different from an article such as this one. I would not mind to improve it though, could you provide me with a copy of the deleted article and with a good example of a description of a SAAS product? Regards, Erik0071 (talk) 15:29, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

  • Interesting use of "colleague". You think Alpha3031 and I are colleagues but you apparently are not one of our colleagues. Please explain. I am happy to let you see the text - read this. "Provide … a good example" - do your own research for goodness sake! — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:56, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Nägel

Dear sir, You have recently deleted an article that I made about a scientific phenomenon called nagels. You recently deleted it and I hope you can pull it up because I do not have the link. This page was actually very important; involving the well being of other humans. I appreciate you trying to clean up Wikipedia, but my boss will be very angry if this article is deleted. A nagel is a growth in the lower region of the human body. It has been causing mutations and creating cancerous genes inside of humans. We have been investigating this matter further but we need to get this page back, as it has vital information. Thank you and please get back to me at <redacted>. I am sorry that I had to use edit, but I could not figure out how to reach you. Sincerely, Instigator Inc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.104.222.10 (talk) 17:47, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

  • "I do not have the link" - so how do you know that I deleted the article? You provided a national phone number. What country do you think I am in? "Sorry that I had to use edit" - no need to be sorry! this is the preferred way of contacting me. Note also these messages above. Frank Foucault published a mildly amusing piece of fiction. It got deleted. He had the cheek to write here pretending it was a serious article and got blocked for his activities. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:56, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Super Brick

Hi, I am not well-versed on how to message on wikipedia. A page I attempted to create for artist, SuperBrick, was said to be deleted by you. I am working on getting more sources and wanted to add another verifiable source for review. How do I go about getting this page back? Will I have to start from scratch? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ynnatugung (talkcontribs) 01:23, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Martin Nguyen deletion

Hi RHaworth, I was hoping to be able to access the content for the deleted Martin Nguyen page. I thought it already clearly met the standards: More independent links were added in the review process too, but I can insert more to prove Martin's notability for a wiki page if you can just help me restore what was there. Notification here. Many thanks. BearMinimum (talk) 11:08, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Trouted

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know you did something silly.

Hey, you just deleted Draft:No Nut November, right after I added a bunch of citations. Benjamin (talk) 00:24, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

RHaworth, I restored this one since the draft was edited this month and Benjaminikuta wants to work on it. It looks like Xlinkbot had reverted the IPs attempt to add some sources at one point as well. Hope you don't mind. -- ferret (talk) 00:54, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

  • Ferret, I was going to restore it anyway for the same reason.
Benjamin, instead of dumping an ugly load of naked URLs on the talk page - you could not even manage to arrange them in a bulleted list - pull your finger out and turn it into an article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:32, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

Deleted web site

Hello, You deleted the draft for the Pennsylvania Humanities Council due to copyright infringement from the page https://pahumanities.org/about-us/a-brief-history ... this page has expressly authorized use on it as declared at the bottom of it. I appreciate you keeping up the high standards of Wikipedia -- hopefully the page can be restored and I can continue working to make it up to the standards of publishing. Can it be undeleted? Best regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Phc-philly (talkcontribs) 13:37, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

  • Restored but it would still be better if you would kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no CoI thinks your council is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:32, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

Draft:Remitly

Hello there, I'm hoping I am doing this correctly for you. The link the page has now is here - https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Remitly&action=edit&redlink=1 It was once under Draft:Remitly, and I'd like to improve the article as much as possible. Is there a way to retrieve this content? I would highly appreciate it. Thanks Dhermreck0830 (talk) 19:37, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

Deleted Draft - Taken (television series)

Hello, my page draft:Taken (Television Series) was recently deleted due to copyright infringement. I'm a new editor and I was under the (wrong!) impression that drafts were a space to work on content (as in, I believed I could copy sections of websites for reference/accuracy, and work on re-writing them in my own words on the draft page). I spoke with someone in the help chat and they clarified for me that this practice is not allowed. Now that I understand this, I'm wondering if I could have the page I was working on re-instated temporarily so I could remove the offending content, and salvage the original work I started? I would really appreciate this, as it was genuinely just a misunderstanding of the rules- I had no intent of actually trying to publish copyright material. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dilly.gee (talkcontribs) 22:43, 28 November 2018 (UTC)

Aspera on Cloud

Hello, Hope all is well. I recently submitted an Aspera on Cloud article for publication () It was nominated for speedy deletion due to being too promotional in nature. I wanted to ask what changes would I need to make in order for the article to be published? The language used in the article is similar to that of Google Drive, Microsoft Azure or Dropbox. I am curious to what is impermissible. Thank you for your time. Link [not] to the article. Respectfully, Derek Van de Streek Dvandestreek (talk) 17:30, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

I am thinking about recreating the above article, and would like a copy of the text. Obviously, the article itself was an egregious copyvio, but I am curious about what wikilinks, and other non-copied info it may have had on it. Thanks - Puzzledvegetable (talk) 19:21, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

  • You are puzzled. I am puzzled. My first reaction was: Cane Hill was a lunatick asylum near me but I never heard of any battle there. I solved that puzzle but I am still puzzled as to how an article could survive for 14 years as a copyvio. There is a possibility that in fact the alleged copyvio source is actually a copy from Wikipedia. I have emailed you the oldest and newest states of the article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:58, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Just noticed that you applied the speedy tag. Why did you not copy the text at that time? Changed my mind and restored - see talk page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:38, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
It appears that you are right. The History.com article cites its original publish date as November 13, 2009, whereas the Wikipedia article is from 2004. Needless to say, whatever little shred of respect I had for History Channel is gone now that I know that their historical research consists of copying and pasting from Wikipedia articles. Lyubena Fox

Hello Thank you for previewing my article named Lyubena Fox. Would it be possible to ask why it was deleted, is it because the person is not notable enough to have a wiki or because of the copyright material used? I wrote that article about myself, since I am an artist and want to make more information available about my art. As for the copyright I do own the rights to the text, and am willing to give permission for it to be used. Sorry for bothering and thank you for your time! Deletion request

Thanks for deleting Module talk:Module:Sandbox/Denis1245 and Module talk:Module:Sandbox/Denis. Would you be kind enough to delete the corresponding module pages, Module:Module:Sandbox/Denis1245 and Module:Module:Sandbox/Denis, please? The whole point of requesting deletion on the talk page is that csd templates aren't valid additions to module: pages. Thanks in advance. -- RexxS (talk) 23:50, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
