Shinqar (Persian: شينقر), also Romanized as Shīnqar,[3] is a village in Eqbal-e Sharqi Rural District of the Central District of Qazvin County, Qazvin province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,647 in 443 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 2,137 people in 631 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,823 people in 558 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
