Using Special:Diff in the older tables

I figured it might be good to discuss this first since this will be a bigger change. It annoys me that the newer tables of recipients all use Special:Diff but the older ones primarily use links to the enwiki, which are displayed as external links although they are not, technically at least. I plan to simply replace them with Special:Diff/<oldid>#<talk page topic> (so they become proper wikilinks) and, of course, keep the original link label so it will be an essentially invisible change and easy enough to accomplish with regex. Alright, done. I have checked the diff and it looks fine to me but of course, it does need some more pairs of eyeballs just in case there is an error. My editor has also done automatic trailing whitespace removal, which is another invisible change. I will do some smaller edits after this, whitespace related, of small things which I caught while looking at the source. NetSysFire (talk) 05:50, 12 November 2022 (UTC)

Since there have been no complaints since almost a week, I'd consider this mostly done. The only thing that remains is a minor discussion about whether to use User: links or Template:u. Some entries use the latter, but most use direct links. NetSysFire (talk) 13:13, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
