not a fan page[edit]

Please do not attempt to turn MBLAQ into a fanpage by adding excruciatingly detailed personal information about the members. Also note that adding personal content about living people (such as their birthdays) without providing proper sourcing is not allowed. WP:BLP. Active Banana ( bananaphone 03:56, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on MBLAQ. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Active Banana ( bananaphone 04:12, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

August 2010[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hrs for your disruption caused by your engagement in an edit war at MBLAQ. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Media uploads[edit]

I noticed you uploaded some audio samples, and claimed they were in the public domain. We need evidence for this. One way is to get the copyright holder to send in a consent form per WP:PERMISSION and WP:CONSENT. Another way is for you to link to an official website stating those audio clips are released into the public domain. Why did you claim they were public domain when you uploaded them, what was your reasoning?

Also, it appears you uploaded a lot of non-free images. Wikipedia is the free encyclopedia, and we have a strict policy limiting non-free images. For example, we don't allow non-free images in basic lists and galleries, such as album covers in a discography. We also don't allow non-free images where free images could be created to replace them. For example, if a band is still together, someone could take a picture of them at a performance or publicity event. So any non-free promotional posters or images released by the band would not be OK for use, because we always have the option of creating a free equivalent. I suggestion you read up on WP:NFC, and suggest you avoid uploading images that you don't own the copyright to where ever possible. If you have questions about our image use policy, feel free to contact me or WP:MCQ thanks. -Andrew c [talk] 13:46, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mir (MBLAQ) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability not established

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. birtdates in band articles[edit]

The birthdates are being removed 1) because they are unsourced personal information about living people and as such need to be removed. 2) even if there is a reliable source for the information, the topic of the article is the band and the birthdates of the band members rarely has any direct connection to the topic of the article, the band itself. Wikipedia is not a fanpage to collect excruciating details. 3) just because other articles have inappropriate content is not a valid excuse for it to be included in yet another article. There are over 3 million articles and many do not yet meet the desired quality standards. But you can help! Active Banana (bananaphone 15:09, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for File:Your_Luv-_Cover_A.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Your_Luv-_Cover_A.JPG. Unfortunately, I think that you have not provided a proper rationale for using this image under "fair use". Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. Note that the image description page must include the exact name or a link to each article the image is used in and a separate rationale for each one. (If a link is used, automated processes may improperly add the related tag to the image. Please change the fair use template to refer to the exact name, if you see this warning.)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. File:Your_Luv-_Cover_B.JPG[edit]

Replaceable fair use File:Mblaq-kawasaki.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Mblaq-kawasaki.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — ξxplicit 19:38, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:BLAQ Style 3D.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:BLAQ Style 3D.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Michaela den (talk) 11:14, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve.
