Untitled[edit]

As is now known, Yamamotoyama is now listed at 258 kilos and so, some edits are needed, but I'm waiting for an English news source to publish this (this news was first seen at Sumoforum). I'm also trying to confirm that he is second-heaviest of all time. TheMatt (talk) 13:59, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Konishiki's weight[edit]

Here in the article it says that it was 284 kg, but in the article about Konishiki it says it was 264 kg. Which is correct?--Mycomp (talk) 06:10, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Both are correct - Konishiki's weight fluctuated quite a bit. As an ozeki he was around 264kg, by the end of his career in 1997 he'd reached 284, which is the current record for a rikishi. He was never 303; that's an exaggeration.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 01:53, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have pictures of the Living Social bouts in San Diego between between Yama, Byamba, and Kelly, as well as a pic with all three of them standing in mawashi for the crowd, Yama in the middle. But I can't upload because this is my very first Wikipedia edit.
