Accessibility of the traffic counts table[edit]

With that many columns, it's quite the scroll rightwards to get to the edge of the table to find the show/hide widget. This is problematic.

At a minimum, I'd suggest that someone rotate the orientation of the table because as additional years are added, it will only get wider. and more troublesome.

Honestly, that whole section of the article should be deleted. Just give us the highest and lowest counts in the route description. For example, a sentence mentioning a location could have "..., the location of the lowest traffic at number vehicles on average daily in year" added. Every few years, just update the counts to keep the article current. That's how several FAs on American highways are done, and it just works better than bogging people down in a lot of statistics. The summary is "Traffic roughly quadrupled over the period 1975 to 2018". The collapsed table only takes up a couple of lines, but is there for those who want to check that summary, or see other detail. Johnragla (talk) 21:54, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, at a minimum, the axes need to be pivoted on this table. On my screen, the rightmost column is the one for 1991, and I have to scroll two more window widths to get to the show/hide widget. If instead the table had the locations on the horizontal axis of the table and the years on the vertical, it would, or should nearly, fit on my screen without scrolling. As editors continue to add additional years to the table, this issue will only get worse. Imzadi 1979  22:11, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
