Note re WP:COI (conflict of interest guidelines)[edit]

To party members who may wish to edit the article: please see WP:COI regarding conflict-of-interest concerning members of organizations editing articles about those organizations. this is a general comment/warning being placed on all BC political party pages because of problems with some articles...If you are a member of this party you should not be editing this article!!.Skookum1 01:30, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, that is a misinterpretation of current COI rules and accepted practice in 2013. In general one should identify COI on the talk page, to keep editing factual, sourced, and uncontroversial, and to invite scrutiny of any potentially problematic edits. This is a "dead" political party, so COI doesn't apply in this specific case in any event.. Carrite (talk) 19:34, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As you can see, that comment dates from 2007.....but in re your own comment, COI would still apply to former party members and executive/leaders amending the article; all political party articles should have some kind of talkpage template about this IMO.Skookum1 (talk) 04:43, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
