The result of the move request was: consensus to move the page to Mana Party, per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 22:20, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mana Party (New Zealand)Mana Party – This is a WP:TWODABS situation, with the New Zealand party significantly more prominent than the Indian one. The NZ party led with 1132 to 63 page views last month, and in the first five pages of "mana party" -wikipedia, I saw only one hit related to the Indian party, and that on the fifth page. • Oppose. The nominator is experienced enough at RM to know that WP:COMMONNAME is based on usage in reliable sources, not on a general web search. Both parties are very minor within their respective political systems. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 23:03, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The NZ party also dominates in Google Books and Google Scholar results, with the Indian party a distant third behind other uses. And for what it's worth, I'm talking WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, not COMMONNAME. --BDD (talk) 23:42, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with BDD. No offense, BHG, but I don't see this as a particularly relevant objection.--Cúchullain t/c 15:00, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted that; it seems unreasonable that someone would be searching for something else called "Mana" with the search term "Mana Party".--Cúchullain t/c 15:00, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per the nominator's evidence that this is the primary topic of the two articles named "Mana Party". It's also viewed 20 times more frequently even taking it back a ways: Mana Party (New Zealand) was viewed 3302 times in the last 90 days compared to 227 for Mana Party (India). The dab page Mana Party was viewed 166 times - almost as many as the Indian party itself. This is a WP:TWODABS situation: this move removes a click for the majority of readers who want the New Zealand party, without adding any clicks for those looking for the Indian party. Win-win.--Cúchullain t/c 15:00, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - clear primary topic. Schwede66 19:20, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom and BDD. --Avenue (talk) 12:38, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Primary topic. Adabow (talk) 12:39, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Undiscussed move/capitalisation of "Mana"[edit]

User:Wikipedian382 moved the page from "Mana Party" to "MANA Movement" without discussion to reflect "Official name change to "MANA Movement"". I have moved it to "Mana Movement" as "Mana" is not an acronym. the decision to start writing the name all in capital letters (in English, but not in Maori) seems to be an attempt to get more attention. Per WP:TRADEMARK, Wikipedia does not follow corporate or organisational preferences in capitalisation -- we use standard English capitalisation. the organisation's preference is indicated in the lead paragraph. The issue was discussed at length at Talk:Internet Party and Mana Movement, and after a proposal to move the article, the debate was resolved in favour of "Mana" instead of "MANA" per Wikipedia policy over the party's preference or any "official" designation.
