Leo and Santos[edit]

Do you think these two should be referred to as one character in the page? Because from what I've seen of them they're only ever seen together, and seem like very similar characters. Jaydude1992 (talk) 18:43, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Car list formatting[edit]

What's the preferred format for listing the vehicles driven? Year and model in italics? Which film in non-italics? None of the above? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:45, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Car models not to be italicized as per the discussion [1] AngusWOOF (barksniff) 13:54, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think Brian O'Conner is notable character. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brian O'Conner was closed in 2011, The result was redirect to this article. In 2011, Brian just appeared three films include The Fast and the Furious (2001), 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) and Fast & Furious (2009), but Brian O'Conner additionally appeared Fast Five (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013) and Furious 7 (2015). Brian is also "Main" character in the The Fast and the Furious series like Dominic Toretto. -- Kanghuitari (talk) 08:47, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not necessary. Notable from a wiki perspective, WP:GNG, means significant coverage in reliable sources. Can you create an article like Dominic Toretto which currently has 14 references and significant discussion about the character from outside the fictional universe perspective? If not, a separate article for Brian o'Conner is not appropriate and should not be split out from this one. Geraldo Perez (talk) 13:07, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support split per nom. Donottroll (talk) 19:54, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also support the split for a separate article. And Geraldo, it is possible to do so; a draft version of the article already exists. RacingPhreak (talk) 05:32, 15 October 2015 (UTC) PS I also wish to add/re-emphasise that it is possible to research an article for Brian to the same level as Dom. It just needs a little time. RacingPhreak (talk) 05:39, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think that a main article about the character Brian O'Conner must be created, because he is one of the main characters -as Dominic Toretto- and he has played in all movies, except The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift. I think you're very wrong when you think that Brian's character has been closed in 2011, when Fast Five (2011) released. It's very wrong, O'Conner's character closed when the seventh film of the series completed, because of Paul Walker's death. EviFast7 (talk) 17:26, 15 January 2016 (UTC)EviFast7 17:26, 15 January 2016[reply]
  • I also support the split for a separate article.--Pierpao (talk) 12:26, 10 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reformat table[edit]

As the table gets wider ( and two more movies on the way) I propose that the table is reformatted to match List of Sherlock characters#Cast Table. Since there have been no actor changes, it will be easy to use this format and much easier to read, and contain much less redundancy than currently. I am including an example with the first 3 characters, which exhibits all the needed notes. I think it's a no brainer that we should reformat. I think we might need to agree on better labels however. I have no problem doing the implementation myself if we agree.

Main Indicates character had main role in film

Han, Gisele and Mia[edit]

In the table stands that Han and Gisele as well as Mia Toretto will be back in Fast and Furious 8, where does this information come from? While it might be possible Sung Kang and Gal Gadot wil reprise their roles, I'm pretty sure Jordanna Brewster won't appear in another Fast and Furious movie, since her character is said to live a normal life with her husband, Brian O'Connor. It would be really cool if they would be back, but without a good source I'm afraid it should be removed again. Wietse110 (talk) 17:02, 16 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Table updates[edit]

User Aat000 has updated twice the table to include "invisible" appearances, which violates any number of Wikipedia policies, including WP:OR, as well as just being patently ridiculous. There's either an appearance or not. There's no such thing as an "invisible" appearance.Rcarter555 (talk) 22:22, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What constitutes a Cameo in the characters table?[edit]

In Furious 7, Sean Boswell is listed in the opening credits along with the other actors participating in the film. So is this really considered a cameo because he has a reduced part? How is the character table to be defined? I thought Cameo was for surprise but uncredited appearances as with Vin Diesel at the end of the third film. Remove subheaders by film[edit]

The subheaders for each film are unnecessary as they further hide the character name from the table of contents for supporting characters, villains, and law enforcement agents. They should be removed. The order of the characters can be retained as they are in appearances in the series. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:21, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Pages[edit]

We need to created Wikipedia Pages for Letty, Mia, Roman, Tej, and Hobbs because they are main characters also. Matt Campbell (talk) 13:53, 3 September 2017 (UTC)User:Matt CampbellMatt Campbell (talk) 13:53, 3 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

More article characters[edit]

I think that the franchise needs more independent articles about it's characters. Currently Dominic Toretto, Brian O'Conner, Gisele Yashar & Han Lue. But I feel that there are more characters that deserve to have their own articles, like Letty Ortiz, Luke Hobbs, Deckard Shaw, Cipher, Mia Toretto, Roman Pearce and Tej Parker. There are very important characters and I feel somehow that they have the potential to have their own articles. Ulises1126 (talk) 12:43, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Brian O'Conner makes an appearance via in-video archival footage in F9 (2021). Aside for that, he has an off-screen cameo in the final scene. 2401:4900:53EF:F918:F077:9B81:B8F6:840B (talk) 11:46, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:56, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I saw the movie in the weekend (in NZ) and confirm that there is no cameo of Brian. We only see his car driving but not the driver. I don't recall the use of archival footage, but it's possible that was used. 114.23.236.115 (talk) 21:02, 21 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Brian in F9[edit]

An anonymous user continues to try to add Brian as an appearance in F9, either as a cameo (which is just flat out incorrect), or trying to add an “off-screen” category, which to my mind is the very opposite of an “appearance”. Seeking consensus. Thoughts? Rcarter555 (talk) 13:58, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of more categories[edit]

There should be more categories like "Offscreen" (Character was involved in the film's plot/had background presence but wasn't shown physically onscreen) and "Mentioned" (Character was mentioned in the film but wasn't involved in the film's plot). Please see to it. 2401:4900:53EF:F918:F077:9B81:B8F6:840B (talk) 17:50, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree. Those are not appearances. Only a character physically appearing in a film should be counted. Rcarter555 (talk) 15:37, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The given key in the page isn't an appearance key, for your kind information. 2401:4900:53EF:F918:F077:9B81:B8F6:840B (talk) 05:18, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Of course it’s an appearance key. What else is it if not that? I’m sorry that Paul walker or his character didn’t appear in F9, but none of your logic twisting is ever going to change that. Rcarter555 (talk) 06:49, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, as if you know anything about guidelines. Besides, only the word "key" is written, not "appearance key". And the other person isn't twisting logic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2409:4060:2017:7963:0:0:2474:90A0 (talk) 13:00, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You say “other person” as if we don’t know this is all the same person with different IP addresses. 😂😂Rcarter555 (talk) 13:55, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what you are talking about, Rcarter555. I don't know what's the deal here, but I definitely don't have two IP addresses. And, by the way, I got myself registered. Truthful Rebel (talk) 04:33, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
