The motto was formerly incorrect. Edited. The actual motto of Prep is "ad majorem dei gloriam".

Actually, it's not. The motto is Per Fidem Ad Plenam Veritatem. It's on the back of the school's handbook, which I am an owner of, as a student of the school. richardmarcj

"ad majorem dei gloriam" is the Jesuit motto not Prep's. However, it is easy to confuse even for alumni. Until the 70s, it was a requirement for students to write A.M.D.G. at the top of papers. Peter Sarsgaard?

As an alumnus, I'd like to question the validity of the claim that he went to Fairfield Prep. Can anyone provide any proof, articles, etc? If not, I will delete.

Former Students section

Please do not put yourself or your friend in this section just because you attend Fairfield Prep. "Former students" and "famous alumni" imply having left the school. Even if a student has done something important enough to have their name mentioned in the article, they do not belong in this section. Trad Redav 23:08, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Is this up to date? I know that Louis Sarracco still works at Fairfield Prep, but I am not sure about the other two guys...

School Colors

As of the 2008-2009 academic year, the school colors have been changed from Cardinal Red and White to simply Red and White, for simplicity's sake. Note that Cardinal Red is a slightly darker hue than the Red used in the new logo and memorabilia.

Sport

Is this a school or a gym? As 109.157.216.243 said the page does seem to be obsessed with sport and does not have a single mention of any academic subject. Maybe this is a gym with a strange name but if it is a school/university then the focus does seem to be wrong. Mtpaley (talk) 19:55, 6 April 2014 (UTC).

After much googling it seems to be a University-preparatory_school which is not a gym. Given this the emphases on sporting activities over academic does seem to be significant. Does the US have 'pre university' schools that focus on sport over academia yet still count as academic institutions for university admission? If so then some references are required here. Here in Fairfield, Connecticut, Prep has a very ubitquious and loud cheering section called the bomb squad. Every time one little goal is scored, they break out into chanting this song. It was more prevalent back in the 2010’s when the teams were more succeeding but it’s a nice touch to add. 67.84.49.244 (talk) 00:22, 18 March 2023 (UTC)
