Pronunciation[edit]

How do the locals say the name of this town (some how I don't seeing missourians pulling off a proper french pronunciation). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.79.10.114 (talk) 23:26, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Crèvecoeur[edit]

Although Crèvecoeur did survey in the St. Louis area, I could find no reference connecting his name and the lake, hence I struck that part of the name origin story. If someone else can find a reference, please restore. Here's an official bio which names additional sources to get you started J. Hector St. John de' in Oxford University Press's American National Biography online.--Beth Wellington (talk) 22:13, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

St Louis Civil war[edit]

Since December 2018 the municipalities of Creve Coeur and Town and Country have been engaged in a brutal insurgency against The City of Maryland Height in large part due to their unwillingness to provide free memberships at the Maryland Heights community center and Aquaport. On New Years Day 2019 a private military contractor under the employ of Creve Coeur and Town and country seized control of three blocks of Bennington Pl and continued moving towards McKelvey Rd, At which point militia formed from residents decided to grab fire arms and begin an insurgency with the support of the Maryland Heights Police Department. By march Creve Coeur had lost three Blocks of the territory they captured from Maryland Heights. Both Sides suffered Heavy Losses. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.249.178.130 (talk) 03:40, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
