Shuy (Persian: شوي), also Romanized as Shūy, Shooy, and Shovī,^[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Shuy Rural District of the Central District of Baneh County, Kurdistan province, Iran.^[4] The village is populated by Kurds.^[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,424 in 300 households.^[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,735 people in 411 households.^[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,613 people in 446 households.^[2]
