Farasfaj (Persian: فرسفج), also Romanized as Farsafaj and Faresfaj; also known as Farsfīj,[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Qolqol Rud District of Tuyserkan County, Hamadan province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Qolqol Rud Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,608 in 443 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,721 people in 486 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,526 people in 457 households.[2]
