Borborud-e Gharbi District (Persian: بخش بربرود غربی) is in Aligudarz County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shahpurabad.[3]

After the 2011 National Census, Borborud-e Gharbi Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Borborud-e Gharbi District, which was divided into two rural districts.

At the latest census in 2016, the district had 9,335 inhabitants in 2,467 households.[2]
