Your GA nomination of Yeezy Gap

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Yeezy Gap you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Your GA nomination of Yeezy Gap

The article Yeezy Gap you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Yeezy Gap and Talk:Yeezy Gap/GA1 for issues which need to be addressed. Your GA nomination of Yeezy Gap

The article Yeezy Gap you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Yeezy Gap for comments about the article, and Talk:Yeezy Gap/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Marc Garneau: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Idontknowwhattouseasmyusername300 (talk) 16:48, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Thank you! I will use these in the future. ULPS (talk) 16:51, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Pedo Group LLC

I added on Trung Luu the fact that he founded Pedo Group LLC. You reverted it saying it is not cited, but the source already in the article specifies this. Please reconsider your actions.

Also consider joining Pedo Group LLC. 178.138.32.2 (talk) 19:37, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

Feel free to add it back with a proper citation. I looked and I don't seem to find one, seems more like vandalism to me. ULPS (talk) 23:58, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

Critical capitalization mistake

Hi. I noticed you made a critical capitalization mistake on the Martin Ganda article. Please refrain from making additional edits without proofreading it first. Thank you. ImperialMajority (talk) 00:48, 21 March 2023 (UTC)

Hey! I apologize for this, in the short description I did indeed capitalize investor (changed it now to not be capitalized) however the body was not edited by me! ULPS (talk) 01:59, 21 March 2023 (UTC)

This is regarding the txt page its better if you put reference which was related to lollapalooza in the main page. I don't think it is needed in the tour. thank you clara.zz (talk) 14:51 22 March 2023 (UTC)

You're right! I added that reference when I couldn't really find other reputable sources mentioning the tour dates (as that article mentioned a few dates of the tour in the body) ULPS (talk) 14:54, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi ULPS. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Spicy (talk) 04:27, 14 May 2023 (UTC) Spicy (talk) 04:27, 14 May 2023 (UTC)

Paleontological Statistics

Could you please check whether you think that the article now meets the inline reference criteria and, if so, remove the tag? Thank you. --Dirkjot (talk) 07:24, 26 May 2023 (UTC)

I'd say it does! Keep in mind for the future, if you feel the tag should be removed after work you've done, be bold and remove it. ULPS (talk) 12:31, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
Thanks. I have some years experience in my home WP, andi if the first thing you do in another WP get's blocked, tagged and draftified, it is not so easy to be bold ;-) --Dirkjot (talk) 15:41, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
Haha yeah I get that, enwiki is sometimes pretty strict. Saw your article was accepted though, nice work! ULPS (talk) 16:29, 28 May 2023 (UTC)

What was wrong with my edits?

My edits were correct, the Mar-A-largo is Not a goose! I don't see how that's nonconstructive. Isitagoose (talk) 22:31, 10 June 2023 (UTC)

Factually sure, but that statement right after it is not. I get the joke, Wikipedia is just not the place for it. ULPS (talk) 22:42, 10 June 2023 (UTC)

Hello, thanks for patrolling edits and reverting vandalism! I wonder if you are interested in our ongoing study for recent change patrollers. The study aims to evaluate AI models that power recent change filters, Huggle, SWViewer, and many other anti-vandal tools. Your feedback can be really helpful! If you're interested, please check out our recruitment page for more information. Thank you for your consideration! Tzusheng (talk) 04:24, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

Hey! This sounds cool, unfortunately I am not quite sure as to whether I'll have enough time for this, I'll look into it if that changes though :) ULPS (talk) 15:18, 28 June 2023 (UTC)

Speedy delete of Band 'O Gypsys

I found this YouTube video [1] that calls them the "Godfathers of South African Rock", and there's a biography about 19 seconds in. I'm not sure what the content of the article was before it was speedy deleted, but I think it should have gone to a full AFD, potentially after a move to Band O' Gypsys. I also found some references to them as "Band of Gypsies" in Google Books.[2] It's annoying that they ripped off a Jimmy Hendrix song as the name of the band, which is what makes searching for them difficult, and it's possible that the article title was a clumsy attempt at disambiguation. Regardless, this should probably go to a full AfD. EDIT: found more [3][4] [5] Park3r (talk) 02:49, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

The band definitely exists or existed at some point in time, I'm not disputing that, just that there is no real coverage in WP:RS. I just tagged the article anyway (and an admin ended up agreeing). Those YouTube videos wouldn't really count as coverage, and that google books thing is just a passing reference. Either way, it would've probably ended up deleted at AfD. If you really want you could recreate it I guess, but I think it would end up deleted. ULPS (talk) 03:16, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
Either way, I think that a speedy delete was not the correct choice here. There seems to be a fan base, and someone could have dug up more (potentially) in a full AfD. I found the article in the Internet Archive and it makes a WP:SIGNIF claim about being one of the oldest bands in the world invalidating A7 as a criterion for speedy deletion. Park3r (talk) 03:42, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
I'm not quite sure what the point of this discussion is honestly, as neither of us (both not admins) can really do anything about it. We seem to disagree and I don't think either of us will end up changing our minds. If you really feel strongly about this though you should recreate it, but something gives me the feeling that in 7 days it'll become a red link again. ULPS (talk) 04:06, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
The point is that speedy deletion is meant for specific circumstances, and appear not to have been met here. But I get your point. Park3r (talk) 05:16, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
I personally disagree ("credible claim", and that oldest band thing is obviously not true imo as they literally stated when the band was founded and ended and it was not really the oldest or longest running band, but to be fair that could come from background knowledge on the subject). I do get what you're saying though, thanks for being civil about it lol some people are quite the opposite. Have a good day :) ULPS (talk) 14:07, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

You linked "nasal surgery" to a citation template, but there's a URL-wikilink conflict and I don't see this phrase anywhere in this page. Achmad Rachmani (talk) 02:27, 21 July 2023 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted

Hi ULPS. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page or ask via the NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies. signed, Rosguill talk 21:26, 21 July 2023 (UTC)
