VFL 1938 - Regan ?[edit]

Was just wondering why you have Regan (Collingwood) listed as Argus Player of Year ? RossRSmith (talk) 05:34, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. My apologies for not checking the edit list more thoroughly. RossRSmith (talk) 01:06, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

University footballers[edit]

Nice work with the VFL footballers mate! Until you started contributing we barely had any wiki articles for University players so it's good to see that changing. There are still quite a few University footballers redlinked in VFL/AFL players who died in active service so if you could make articles for them some time that would be great. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Terlob! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Sean Charles - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi there, I know you aren't very active, but I thought I'd ask on the off chance you have a look at wikipedia. Anyway, I see that you created Jack Doubleday and have the date of death as 13 August 1918, but I was having a look, and the Australian War Memorial states that his date of death was actually 30 October 1918 see here and that he was buried in Egypt, rather than at sea. I haven't made any changes to the article, but I was wondering what your source was? Jenks24 (talk) 13:13, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My mistake on the DOB, my source only cites the year 1918. I must have just forgotten to take out the day and month as I copied it across. The Encyclopedia of AFL Footballers does however state that he was buried at sea - maybe he was buried in the sea that borders Egypt? Terlob (talk) 01:25, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, having a look at the link again, it says that he died at sea, but that his "Cemetery or memorial" is in Egypt, so if the Encyclopedia of AFL Footballers says he was buried at sea, I'm inclined to think he was and that he only has a memorial in Egypt. I've changed the dod in the article to comply with the Australian War Memorial link. Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 01:50, 11 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Michael Jez. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Peter Warburton (footballer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Paul O'Brien[edit]

Paul O'Brien, the actor, seems to satisfy the criteria for being the primary topic so I've created Paul O'Brien (disambiguation) (linked to from the actor's article). Happy to do this again in the future, or if you need assistance in anything else please feel free to leave me a message. Cheers. Jevansen (talk) 08:31, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
