Wikimedia Ireland[edit]

Hi,

A while back you added your name at Wikimedia Ireland. Well, it took a year (almost to the day) but ten editors have expressed an interest in starting a Wikimedia chapter in Ireland, which meets the criteria for a "critical mass". If you're still interested, I'd would be great if we could kick off discussion. Maybe, a first step might be to introduce ourselves (anonymously) at the chapter talk page with some ideas about what a chapter could do or a sketch of your interest in founding one ... or even just say restate an interest and say 'hello' :-)

Hi. I appreciate your work to rewrite this, but I am a bit concerned about the order of the information. Unless lists are organized in an obvious way, their order may be copyrightable, and the order of this list is not at all obvious to me, I'm afraid. I've asked for feedback at the copyright problems board, but found no easy answer, since we don't know why the site codes are arranged as they are. Would you be willing to alphabetize the list? If the list is alphabetical, there should be no further problems whatsoever. Alternatively, can you explain why the order they use is natural and obvious so that it can't be copyrighted? :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:04, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Categorizing Commons files[edit]

Hi there Mrchris, just a note, if a file is being hosted at Commons, it should be categorized there, not here on Wikipedia. Categorizing images here makes the page eligible for speedy deletion under F2. Thank you. — ξxplicit 19:55, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
