It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on a biased choice of users' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence Inter Milan. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Hello @Leaky caldron: I did not have any intention to ping those users to attract votes favoring my opinion at all; I've been here for almost eight years and that's the last thing I would do, and if that's was the case, I would've mentioned other users last time I requested the same move in 2019. I only did this to let others notice that my opinion was recently supported by some users. Regarding your statement that I mentioned people who only support my opinion, I can see that all eight people who participated in that discussion actually agrees with me, which clarifies that I mentioned only three of them as an example. Please assume good faith in other people's action, because most of us here on Wikipedia want nothing but to make it a better place. Ben5218 (talk) 13:44, 23 January 2022 (UTC)

Apology? Contact them? I did not contact those users and I did not breach WP:CANVASS! Please assume good faith, and remember that there were eight users who agreed with my point. If I wanted to do what you are claiming I intended to do, I would've mentioned all eight of them, and not just three. Again, please assume good faith, and remember that my only intention was the following: Pointing out that before placing the request move, some people already shared the same opinion with me. I didn't contact them because I... didn't? Pinging is different from messaging users on their talk pages. However, since according to you that's a breach WP:CANVASS, I've edited my comment on the other page and removed those pings. Sorry for any inconvenience, but remember that I didn't mean to attract other users attention to participate in the discussion; otherwise I would've mentioned all participants rather than just three. You cannot "unintentionally" ping users. It requires the use of a carefully assembled syntax. Naming them in text only, as you claim was your purpose, requires no thought and no syntax. As I said before, I'm used to use pings when I want to talk about other users. You are saying that I pinged only people who supported my opinion, but all people who participated in the discussion in question share the same opinion with me, and if I intended to attract all people from that discussion I would've mentioned all eight users rather than just three, right? Did I ping all participants? No. Did I accidentally ping some of the participants? Yes. After your comments, I've removed those pings and apologized for this mistake above.
