I reverted your edit to this page because you used Daily Mail as a source, and it is not considered reliable - see WP:DAILYMAIL. Please consider using a different source. Thanks. Home Lander (talk) 22:06, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

Sorry, i didn't know that Daily Mail isn't considered as a reliable source. I will add it again with a different source. Thanks. Ben5218 (talk) 22:11, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
No problem. Happy editing. Home Lander (talk) 22:12, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi you reverted my edit, do you have a source to show that the 2 stadiums are the same. The capacities are completly different from what I can see. 20k and 40k. Dom from Paris (talk) 12:39, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Here are a sources I have found. [1] Dom from Paris (talk) 12:43, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
Here is another source dating from 2017 6 years after the renaming of the Army stadium that talks about a match in the Gehaz El Reyada stadium. [2]. Dom from Paris (talk) 12:49, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
@Domdeparis: Hello, i was writing about this on your talk page right now. First of all, i completely understand that you are trying to do the right thing and so am i. Anyway, due to the lack of sources and many naming conflicts in Egypt i can't find a source for that, even in Arabic or English. The only thing i'm sure of is that Police Academy Stadium is also called Abbasia Stadium and Ittihad El Shorta Stadium, and it hosts Ittihad El Shorta and El Dakhleya home matches. And about Gehaz El Reyada Stadium i'm still not sure if it is Egyptian Army Stadium or not, while it apparently not the same and i made a mistake. I will keep doing some searches until i find anything useful that confirms it. Thanks for understanding. Ben5218 (talk) 13:08, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
@Domdeparis: Well, this is really embarrassing for me. After spending long time searching it appeared that Gehaz El Reyada Stadium is not the Egyptian Army Stadium but maybe it's Cairo Military Academy Stadium. As you can see in this league match between Tala'ea El Gaish and Tanta in this video (which was played at Gehaz El Reyada Stadium according to multiple sources in Arabic, including this one) the stadium looks exactly like this. And also it's written in the Cairo Military Academy Stadium article that the stadium's capacity is 28,500, which is the same capacity that's written in this source about Gehaz El Reyada Stadium. Sorry for the trouble. Ben5218 (talk) 13:21, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
No problem whatsoever, this was a page that came up on the new pages review so it's all part of the job to check out sources and ask questions! I'll let you maybe undo your last edit, I don't know if you have a source to prove notabilty or not but football is not really my area so I'll leave it up to you to remove or let the PROD ride. CheersDom from Paris (talk) 14:25, 19 April 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:14, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

MS Tala

Could you please add references to MS Tala? It currently has none, which is a problem both for verification and for showing that the club is notable. Thank you for your help. › Mortee talk 23:09, 21 August 2018 (UTC)

The same for Sidi Salem SC. I've not looked through your contributions, just looking at the list of unreviewed pages, so if there are other similar articles, the same would apply. › Mortee talk 23:11, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
@Mortee: Yeah sure, I was actually planning to do that to most of the club articles that I've created, but couldn't do it due to some internet connection problems. I'll try to find and add some references to these articles as soon as possible. Thanks for your notice! Ben5218 (talk) 12:54, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
No problem. Thanks for looking into it. › Mortee talk 12:57, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
Also please remember its generally preferred quality over quantity, stubs with little information don't provide much help to the average reader. I've tagged all the stubs (with no sources) that you created for notability issues and may consider suggesting them for deletion if they remain unchanged. Alternatively you could move them to the draftspace if you are too busy too work on them. ~ Araratic | talk 13:09, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
(CC Araratic) Hi again. I don't like to do this, but I've opened a discussion at WP:Articles for deletion/MS Tala because this is unreferenced still and I couldn't find usable references to add myself. If you're able to add enough sources in the next week to show that it's notable, please do that and comment at the AfD. I'd be happy to see the article improved to a point that shows it ought to be kept. › Mortee talk 10:51, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
There was no need to do that really, I just can't do everything so soon; I'm a human after all and I have other priorities and things to do in my life. Anyway, I've added new content to the articles, with sources of course. Hopefully those will be enough to keep the article on Wikipedia. I'll do the same to the other articles as I said before, but I'll mainly focus on Egypt national football team results (1980–99) in the coming days. Ben5218 (talk) 13:49, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi Ben. We're all volunteers of course. I left it for ten days and the AfD adds another seven, so I hope that's at least somewhat fair. Thank you very much for adding those sources, I appreciate it. Maybe for future articles it would be a good idea to start them as WP:Drafts or Help:Userspace drafts? That way you can take as long as you need to add content and references before publishing them. Sorry for feeling I had to do this. I'll leave the discussion open for now, since two of the references are to Facebook and one is a brief mention. Other editors might well see this because of the discussion and be able to help improve the article further. › Mortee talk 18:32, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
Hello. Thanks for the reply. I spent around 2 hours looking for anything I can add to the articles, and added what I believe that is useful and should be added. If the Facebook references are a problem and not preferred, then I can try to get another source for the squad. Thanks again for your time and effort. Ben5218 (talk) 19:05, 31 August 2018 (UTC)

The trouble with the Facebook references is that they're from the club's own page, so they're primary. They may be OK for verifying uncontroversial facts, though independent sources are even better, but they can't prove notability because they don't show that the club's had attention from others. I'm not objecting to them being there, I just don't count them for notability purposes. Let's see what others think in the main discussion. If they say this should be kept, that's great. All the best, › Mortee talk 20:50, 31 August 2018 (UTC)

Sidi Salem SC moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Sidi Salem SC, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Defense of christian persecution section

You removed a section on the Egyptian premier league page; simply removing a section without a valid reason is not only frustrating, but qualifies as Tendentious editing. Everyone is welcome to add/edit content, provided there are legitimate references. Simply deleting content in this manner is contrary to wiki guidelines.

Regarding the validity of this content, there are good sources cited, including from The Atlantic[1], a well respected publication from the United States. Furthermore, there are more citations in this small section (5), than the rest of the entire article.

To expand on one of the facts cited, there being 0 Christians in the league out of 540 players [2], this is not only improbable, but is a statistical impossibility if you believe that Christians face no prejudice. Egypt is comprised of 10-20% Christian[3], using 15% as the percentage Christian, the probability for there being 0 Christians out of 540 players if they were all chosen without partiality, is 8x10-39, or .0000000000000000000000000000000000008%. In other words, this is an impossibility. You cannot say that this is a "minor" issue. Given the stated facts, as well as the references cited, the existence of prejudice, or at least a bias, is beyond debate.

Hello. I can see that you are clearly defending your opinion and trying to prove it right, but unfortunately it's not correct. We are not talking about sources and similar things here, we are talking about facts and reality. First of all, there was a Christian player playing for Al Nasr in the previous season, the 2017–18 season, called John "Manga" Nabil (Arabic: جون نبيل) who played almost all of the club's fixtures during that season; simply anyone who deserves to play will play. Second, there has been 9 different managers during the last 20 years who managed the Egypt national football team, 5 of them weren't from Egypt which obviously means they aren't Muslim. Don't you think that - if what you are trying to prove is actually right - the Egyptian Football Association wouldn't sign them and look for someone else instead? Think about it. Last thing, there has been many Christian players who presented the national team and played in the Egyptian Premier League, most famous are Hany Ramzy, who played for Al Ahly and represented Egypt in the 1990 FIFA World Cup; Ashraf Youssef, who won the 1993 African Cup of Champions Clubs with Zamalek and Helmy Toulan, who spent more than 9 years playing for Zamalek and managed many Egyptian Premier League teams. I really hope that all of this will make you reconsider your edits and realize that what you are doing is simply making readers think that religion discrimination exists in Egypt. I'll revert your edits in this period until something happens. Ben5218 (talk) 16:59, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

I agree with your statement that everyone who deserves to play will play. The only thing you've added to the discussion is that there have been a handful of Christians in the last 30 years or so, and this can be reflected in the article. However the argument still stands, and the facts remain the same; this does not disprove that a bias exists. The fact that the percentage of Christians is not proportional to the population can only be explained by 2 possible solutions. One: Christians are athletically and skillfully less talented than muslims (good luck finding a credible scientific source to back that up). Or two, there is a bias against Christians.

I challenge you to read the Atlantic article, you will find an argument for the latter of the two possibilies . I also challenge you to respond with facts not an opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sllabib (talkcontribs) 21:31, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

Hello again. Well I don't know what else to say, we are just making a problem out of nothing. I don't think that any website would just start talking about why there isn't many Christian players in Egypt. Simply there isn't many Christian footballers, and that doesn't mean that there is a bias against Christians. And about that Atlantic article, it's content is just proving that terrorism in Egypt mainly targets Christians, and that was year ago. Terrorist group ISLL-SP claimed those attacks, and acts done by terrorists shouldn't be linked to what the people actually think of. Also, I believe that this should be done at the talk page of the article. Ben5218 (talk) 22:39, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for your response. However, for the second time, you failed to provide any factual explanation as to explain the disparate number of christians in football. I will respond to a few of your comments.

"Simply there isn't [aren't] many Christian footballers, and that doesn't mean that there is a bias against Christians." What then is the explanation? You cannot ignore this fact, you have to explain it. Chance does not explain it; the probability if it were up to chance is .0000000000000000000000000000000000008% (see above). One reason, mentioned in the Atlantic article, is that young Christian footballers don't have the same opportunity for advancement as their muslim counterparts. In other words, a bias.

"terrorism in Egypt mainly targets Christians, and that was year ago." Your naïveté is almost comical. Persecution, both violent and civic, has been happening against christians since the islamic invasion. You can educate yourself about the violent history here: persecution of copts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sllabib (talkcontribs) 14:24, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

Well.. Being an Egyptian and a Muslim makes me know what I'm saying and what's going on. You have been saying that there's no Christian players in the national team right? If so, then what does this has to do with the team? Simply nothing. The manager picks who fits to be in the squad, if there is no Christian players who deserves to play in the squad, then it's not the manager's or the team's fault.

And if you want to talk about the numbers, then can you tell me why there is no Muslim players in England? Islam is the largest non-Christian religion in England, with more than %6 of the population of England are Muslims, yet there is no Muslim player in the national team. Also there has been many attacks on mosques in England, most recently in Birmingham a few weeks ago.[4] Should we say that there there is a bias against Muslims in England because of that? Absolutely no.

Why would a country that hates Christians would sign foreign players who are Christian? Why would a country that hates Christians would make a Christian the assistant manager of the national team? You are just to convince yourself that you are right, while unfortunately you are not. Also, the articles you provided have nothing to do with football, just political things. Wikipedia isn't a place to put your opinion on, it's a place to share and add facts and useful things. Think about it. Ben5218 (talk) 16:38, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

I'm glad you stated that wiki isn't a place for opinion, I agree. Having one Christian assistant manager, the only relavent fact you have stated, does not explain why there are currently 0 christians in a country that is 10-20% christian. I've asked you several times to make a counterargument, backed by facts, and you have failed to do so. I'm also glad that you cited this article for protection, because you clearly have inherent biases yourself, and cannot objectively evaluate the matter. I am reverting your unlawful removal of this section, which is factually based, and well cited. You are welcome to insert any facts you have to counter the argument. Leave your opinion at door.

Regarding muslims in England, maybe you should research the matter. It is however irrelevant to this discussion.Sllabib (talk) 20:42, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

I don't have anything else to add right now. Simply you are avoiding what I'm saying. I've requested a RFC at the talk page of the article to hear more opinions and see what other editors and people would say. This discussion will be continued there after hearing their opinion. Ben5218 (talk) 21:57, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

Please tell me what it is you are saying that I am avoiding. I've responded to all of your comments, and you've failed to answer mine. Sllabib (talk) 22:20, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

Yep right, definitely right. Please continue this discussion at the article's talk page, not here. I have nothing else to say. Ben5218 (talk)

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Egypt national football team. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. —SerialNumber54129 paranoia /cheap sh*t room 17:42, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

@Serial Number 54129: Hello. I have been on Wikipedia for a long time, more than 4 years. I wouldn't revert a revision just because I don't like it, I did that because we have been discussing that content I removed on the talk page of the article. I thought that removing it would be the right thing as we didn't agree on something yet. Also, I believe that the content shouldn't be included in the article because it's not related to the national team. This should be included to another article like the Culture of Egypt#Sports.
One last thing, I'd recommend you reading the discussion me and Sllabib had, I believe it would provide you with useful things about this case. He said that there is no Christian players playing in the Egyptian Premier League while there was one playing for Al Nasr last season, not to mention those playing in the Egyptian Second Division. I was protesting against his content because I, as an Egyptian, knows what's happening in the country and believes that this isn't right, even though there is no sources to confirm what I'm saying. Thank you for your time. Ben5218 (talk) 18:00, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

Swaziland/Eswatani

I noticed you made a number of similar RM requests instead of one multi-RM. Why? —В²C 14:52, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

  • @Born2cycle: Hello, I was originally planning to make a moving request for one article, which was Manzini, Swaziland; and I didn't expect that I would find more similar articles that needs to be moved too. I don't know why I didn't put all of them in a single request, probably because I didn't think about that. Hopefully what I did wasn't wrong. Thanks! Ben5218 (talk) 11:02, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
That makes sense. Not wrong but creates a lot of extra work; participation in N RM discussions regarding essentially the same issue instead of one. Next time consider a multi-RM. Instructions at WP:RM. —В²C 14:35, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

2018–19 ENPPI SC season moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, 2018–19 ENPPI SC season, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. Boleyn (talk) 18:12, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

@Boleyn: Hello, I'm sorry if I didn't focus on that article in the previous days.. I was working on other stuff. I was planning to work on that article later tomorrow but it seems like I should focus on it from now on. Ben5218 (talk) 19:01, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
Hi Ben, it's not a problem, just take your time and move it back when it's ready. Moving it to draftspace saves it from deletion and you can work on it when you've time. Thanks for your hard work, Boleyn (talk) 20:02, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

Al Ahly SC kits

Hello Ben I want your help to change the kits of Handball, basketball and Volleyball teams in Al Ahly SC pages on wiki I see that you upgraded the new kit in the Football page, but the kit of indoor games pages didn't change since 2012.Crosskimo (talk) 13:03, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

@Crosskimo: Hello Kimo! Currently I'm working on Al Ahly's goalkeeper and all Al Ittihad kits. Once I finish creating those I'll definitely try to add the kits you mentioned. I also noticed that Ehab Refaat Fawzy talked with you about these specific kits; you can tell him my reply if you want to, might be helpful. Thanks. Ben5218 (talk) 15:30, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
@Crosskimo:, @Ehab refaat fawzy:. Hello again, just wanted to tell you that I haven't forgotten about your requests. I've created the kits for Al Ahly's handball and volleyball teams and added it to their article. It might look weird on the volleyball team's article, but apparently that's a bug from Wikipedia. On the handball team's article however, it's appearing correctly as it should. I didn't create the basketball's team kits because I've seen them wearing different kits recently, so I'll wait until they use only one home kit. Looking forward to hear your opinions. Cheers. Ben5218 (talk) 20:12, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
@Ben5218: Hello Ben, thanks for the new kits, they're looking great

the basketball kit you can find it on Al Ahly Basketball on FB Ehab refaat fawzy (talk) 23:39, 26 December 2018 (UTC)

@Ehab refaat fawzy: Hello again. I've created the home kit shown in the link you sent me but didn't upload it yet. Do you know where can I find their away and third kit if it's available? Thanks. Ben5218 (talk) 05:58, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
@Ben5218: the away kit is the yellow one Away basketball kit with yellow color Ehab refaat fawzy (talk) 07:54, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
@Ehab refaat fawzy: Hello Ehab. I've completed my work on those kits and added them to the team's articles. Hopefully I made them close enough to the real one. Cheers. Ben5218 (talk) 13:18, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
@Ben5218: Thanks Ben, you did great and wonderful work Ehab refaat fawzy (talk) 19:20, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
