Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, 13,934/13,934 (100%)
Telenor Arena in Oslo, 21,989/21,989 (100%)
The Forum in Copenhagen, 9,890/9,890 (100%)

Critical reception[edit]

I think that the critical reception section needs trimming as it is already too long and there are too many sources which are not used in the article. I was thinking maybe to remove the non-English reviews as I haven't seen other tour articles use them. I need somebody's opinion on this. My love is love (talk) 10:17, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the section needs trimming. Ideally, a CR section would not be "this person said that...", but rather a summary of was critics thought. Break it down by topic, such as: dance, music, vocals, special effects, set list. For each topic try to take a sample of the reactions to that part. Don't include every review, but keep in mind that you should keep to a neutral point of view. I wouldn't discount non-English reviews just because they aren't written in English (unless you can't understand what they say or find a translator program, obviously). Take a look at the FA Zoo TV Tour for inspiration. Adabow (talk) 10:29, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I will try and see what I can do later. My love is love (talk) 10:48, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Undressing the Tourbook (You should add this after talking about the make up)

"The creative approach to the tourbook for the "MRS CARTER WORLD TOUR" was to artistically illustrate all of the different visual aspects of the tour through multi-media collage and image manipulation. We wanted the fans to have the opportunity to bring a part of the tour home with them. By using collage, we've created pages filled with images that were inspired either by certain songs or by Mrs. Carter herself. We've also explored image manipulation, whether it be from solarizing an image, or from layering and stacking images."

Pictures[edit]

I found out that there are a lot of images of Beyonce during this tour at Flickr and according to Wikipedia:Upload/Flickr all of them can be uploaded on Wikipedia. Should I upload them all or is there a faster way for them to be uploaded (with a bot or something else)? My love is love (talk) 15:51, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can use the Flickr upload on Wiki Commons (here). The person seems to have put a watermark on each picture though, although you are free to crop it out (as all pictures are licensed as free to modify), if you so wish. —JennKR | 16:02, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I will see what I can do. My love is love (talk) 17:48, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There is a bot. Adabow (talk) 21:52, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, so now I have another question. I uploaded the photos without watermarks. How can I remove the watermarks without using Photoshop (as I don't have it in my computer) or other programs which need to be downloaded. I've searched for 30 minutes on the Internet but I couldn't find anything. My love is love (talk) 12:50, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's probably impossible without Photoshop, if you want to remove it you would probably have to crop it out of the image unfortunately. —JennKR | 14:50, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You could put in a request at WP:GL/P. Adabow (talk) 09:29, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures deleted?[edit]

I uploaded a majority of those pictures, and most were taken by me. I believe I used two pictures taken by my friend on twitter who took them herself and posted them to the site for anyone to use. No professional photographers are allowed into the concert therefore all images are either from Knowles herself or are free work images from fans. None of the images used were from Knowles' site and a majority I took myself at the show! Is there anyway to revert these deletions --Lolcakes25 (talk) 09:34, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think you have to re-upload them giving credit to the one who took them. My love is love (talk) 11:15, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Beyonce' Visits CUFA - Brazil[edit]

Cufa- Central Única das Favelas received a very special and inspiring visitor yesterday. Cufa a not-for-profit organization has a primary goal of providing positive opportunities and alternatives for at-risk youth from low income aka "ghetto " communities. Billboard singer of the millennium and Ms. Independent woman herself, Beyonce paid a visit to the kids of Cufa yesterday on Brazilian Independence day! More than just a visit the singer spent quality time at Cufa where she watched the institutional video, interacted with the youth and surely made many of her fan's dreams come true. We admire that is taking her time to visit low income neighborhoods to learn about their social difficulties and pitching in to make a difference herself. Following her visit came a surprise that will make memories for a lifetime! Beyonce teamed with CUFA and her charity organization to provide these youth an exclusive escorted participation to her concert in Fortaleza. Her production team is providing transportation that will pick up the youth from the Favela of Lagamar and take them to spend the entire day leading to the show with her and her production team. They will participate in all of the making-of pre-production and press interviews and later will have the opportunity to watch the DIVA LIVE tonight in concert.

Mexico is in North America[edit]

I think the tour section needs to be revised. This is an Encyclopedia and North America is composed of Canada, the United States and Mexico. In other tour sections, as in Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball, Mexico is inserted in North America, whereas the other countries in Latin America she visited are inserted in South America. 186.205.8.181 (talk) 03:01, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have amended it. Puerto Rico is in North America too. Adabow (talk) 03:53, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Boxscores[edit]

So as someone mentioned above those boxscore were reported by pollstar. However there is not a direct link to a pdf file like the mid year chart as you have to be a paying member to access it.

Here are direct image links of the bosxcores being talked about:

http://imageshack.us/a/img11/9474/is92.png http://imageshack.us/a/img153/664/2rom.png http://imageshack.us/a/img94/4709/cjxy.png

here is also a link to a forum they were originally place in on July 26, 2013 - http://www.bcharts.com.br/forum/topic/9969-pollstar-boxscore-2607-beyonc%C3%A9-depeche-mode-pnk-alicia-e-na-europa/page-2

Is there any likely hood of these being added to the box office score data table as a reliable source or should I not bother (as it seems billboard have stopped reporting any of her previous dates) --Lolcakes25 (talk) 12:43, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tour sales total to $100 million![edit]

From endorsement deals to album sales, Beyoncé knows how to rake in the big bucks and judging by the reception of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, the winning streak is unbreakable.

Beyoncé is expected to earn as much as eight figures in ticket sales from the tour.

With the international portion wrapped up, Mrs. Carter has already pocketed a fat paycheck according to Billboard's Boxscore figures. A six-night gig at London's O2 Arena added $9.7 million to the singer's bank account, her short tenure in Manchester netted an extra $4.6 million, and in Germany she picked up more than $3 million for shows in Zurich and Berlin respectively.

On a pay-per-show basis, the Grammy winner makes anywhere from $1.55 to $1.6 million a night for more than 60 dates, bringing her tour sales total to $100 million.

Announced after February's Super Bowl XLVII halftime performance, the global trek sold out within minutes domestically. Even without a new album for fans to sing along to, Beyoncé has taken full reign of the multi-date stint, using the opportunity to premiere new music, and denying photographers press access. To maintain control of the images made public, the "Grown Woman" singer hired Frank Micelotta to handle all photos, which are distributed to the media after each show.

In the next couple of weeks, Beyoncé will bring the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour stateside. She's also headlining the BET Experience, which kicks off June 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Box office data[edit]

You can see a much more detailed list of the box office score date reported in my sandbox: User:Lolcakes25/sandbox

I was wondering if any of the information here, that isn't in the tour article, is eligible to be placed in the main article? As I know some of the sources are deemed not reliable. Could someone check and confirm? --Lolcakes25 (talk) 11:28, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Billboard and Pollstar are both reliable sources, but using imageshack as a capture medium is definitely not a reliable method, as it is open to manipulation. If someone has a subscription he or she can cite the webpage (or print copy); sources don't have to be online and accessible for free. Adabow (talk) 22:10, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I know that it was reported by Billboard, but the boxscore of Medellín, Colombia concert, on September 22, 2013, at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium, just cannot be true... You guys can get pictures and videos of it on internet... NO WAY that there was only 4,300 people there, it was surely more than 40,000! Unless all the tickets were given to the public by W Radio, who was promoting the show, and only 4,300 tickets went on sale, which makes no sense to me... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.196.234.76 (talk) 19:13, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tables[edit]

re-opening discussion regarding the box office table being attached to the main table, because despite it being in a separate table since the beginning of the article, IndianBio has decided to continue placing them in the same table without a general consensus being reached, so post your opinions here.

My vote is no (not yet), as we do not have enough score data. The amount of N/A's and gaps make the table look messy. Also can be confusing for the reader when two dates are reported as one so one box has to be left empty and explained that the boxscore is for two dates (see: Antwerp). This style of table has also not been used on the I Am... Tour or The Beyoncé Experience Wikipedia pages, therefore keeping the flow following from these. However I have always said once the tour has finished and we have all the possible data reported, we could use this style of table then. Again this is just my opinion and if a general consensus is reached with other users agreeing with the box score columns being added to the tour dates table then I would be more than willing to comply, so please post your opinions here. --Lolcakes25 (talk) 15:02, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lolcakes what do you mean re-opening? I had asked you in your talk page also as to where the previous discussion is and you failed to provide that. Please re-link that discussion here else its completely pointless to indicate that there was a previous consensus which is not a vote. Now coming to the tables, you must have seen that it was not me who added the changes but User Madonnamusician. I believed that this was a far better way to construct the boxscore since the whole information is together, the table becomes concise and the article length is shortened. However, you reverted me saying that this was discussed which, as stated above, you did not provide a wiki-link to. I do not believe that just because TBE or IAT tours haven't used this style should dissuade us from using a WP:ACCESS related change. One thing I can agree with you is that we can wait until the boxscore is fully available then merge them into the table. Come to think of it, you might have a valid point with the case like Antwerp. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 15:47, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I searched for the discussion in the archived talk page and I honestly could not find it, but I chose to not reply due to you probably thinking I was lying, but I genuinely remember this being discussed a while back, however I simply can't find it. I agree with you that it does help shortening the article which is far too long at the moment. We shall also get the second US leg reported any week soon I believe (possibly even tonight when Billboard Boxscore updates), which will fill a load of gaps, and hopefully most of the second European leg will be reported some time in 2014. I ultimately agree we should combine the tables, just not as of now. But again if more people want to combine now then ok.--Lolcakes25 (talk) 17:40, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

:::Hi @Lolcakes25: since you mentioned that the missing Boxscores have been reported as well, how are we planning to include them now? —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 05:32, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ignore that, I just noticed that they have been included. Thanks buddy. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 10:48, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@IndianBio:, I'm going to need your assistance. This tour article needs a lot of work, especially the table. We have sources saying the same exact thing when a single source is enough (Billboard box score) and there is no opening act column. I have made edits like this in the past but personal opinion seems to be getting in the way for looking "too messy" and the changes are reverted by (@Lolcakes25:). Obviously, not one user is going to have a final say in this. One source should be enough for the tables unless not reported by Billboard box score and adding opening acts to the table, like other tour articles, shouldn't be a problem. I propose these changes. I'm not going to put in hours of work just to reverted. — TheMadonnaMusicCN (talk, contribs) 16:54, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Themadonnamusiccn: I 100% agree with you. — Status (talk · contribs) 20:59, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I only reverted your edit the second time because you removed every source. The issue about the opening acts is that it makes the table very wide, and dates with longer venue names then get spread out into two rows, when right now they are all in one row per date. I agree with the multiple sources being removed (not Billboard boxscore as same boxscores may be the same source but need to be included in each continent colspan as different continent shows were reported in one source.) But I don't see the issue of opening acts being neatly listed above the tour dates table, rather than making the table extremely wide and resulting in single shows taking up two rows. Another issue with opening acts is that there is not a source for every single show, meaning there will be more "n/a's" in the table. Also, to state you think the article needs "a lot of work" because of a minor table disagreement is a bit of an exaggeration. But to be honest you can do what you want, I'm not going to get into one of those petty wikipedia arguments. I'm just trying to make it look neat and tidy, but of course if there is a consensus to add the opening acts and not just one user against another, then go ahead. @Themadonnamusiccn: --Lolcakes25 (talk) 21:55, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Lolcakes25: I didn't even realize I removed every source. The Billboard box score sources provide much of the information. But then there was 3 or 4 of the same source for the same thing and I thought it was a little unnecessary so I removed it. Also with the N/A's, there was only a few and it wasn't too distracting. I do understand you want to make things look neat and tidy and I don't mean to over exaggerate but there is a lot of fluff in the article and things that don't need to be there including the info beneath the opening acts. I am willing to come to an agreement. I'm not going to start changing things without people agreeing on it. — TheMadonnaMusicCN (talk, contribs) 16:54, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

DVD filmed in Antwerp![edit]

I was at the concert, on May 31, 2013. The staff members from the Sportpaleis group (Sportpaleis is the venue) said that this show (In Antwerp) is filmed for the Mrs. Carter Show DVD. I also heard that Beyoncé is going to release 2 dvds, one from 2013 (Antwerp) and one from 2014 (TBA).

Mistake in attendees in Medellin, Colombia[edit]

The correct number is 45,823. The information was given in this interview to Medellin's mayor by W Radio (organizer of the event). --Javp87 (talk) 07:14, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The number is based on what was given by Billboard Boxscore. Because the concert was in celebration of the 10th anniversary of W Radio, only 4,300 tickets were sold directly, the rest were given away free to companies who would then distribute them to people in different ways. Therefore 4,300 was the number of tickets officially put on sale for the public to buy directly --Lolcakes25 (talk) 19:08, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't the column in the chart for "attendance", and not for "tickets sold"? The revenue column can show that only 4,300 were sold, but the attendance for the concert was the whole stadium. Under your statement, if she offered a free concert within the tour, it should not be included in the chart? --Javp87 (talk) 22:29, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Revenue is about how much money was made, it has nothing to do with how many tickets were sold. And it wasn't entirely free, 4,300 tickets were sold to the public, whilst the rest was sold to promoters to auction off in their own way, but therefore Billboard Boxscore, the most reliable boxscore source has reported the 4,300 that were sold directly to the public, hence why it is in the table. However, I agree with you that the 45,823 could be used, but the source is an audio interview with no time mark mentioned and if we chose to use that figure I think a note would have to be placed explaining the situation? Also, does the interview state that the concert was sold out or how many tickets were available? --Lolcakes25 (talk) 11:03, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Setlist[edit]

I was wondering what will happen with the setlist when she kicks off with her 2014 tour, it has been confirmed that she will be performing music of her album BEYONCE, so does that mean that the setlist of 2013 will be replaced or will there be another setlist on the page apart from the 2013 shows? — Preceding unsigned comment added by MartRoggen (talkcontribs) 11:40, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think we will most likely put the 2013 set list in a collapsed/hidden headerccs like this:
2013

This set list is representative of the first performance in San Jose. It does not represent all concerts for the duration of the tour.[1]

  22. Halo --Lolcakes25 (talk) 11:10, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure that the first Birmingham show will also have a different setlist. Looks like she is experimenting a bit, and will choose the setlist she likes the most. And the Bow Down part was performed after Yoncé at this show. --MartRoggen (talk) 21:00, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I saw that rumoured too but I text my friend who was there and he said Bow Down/Flawless were performed together right after Run The World. But yeah the I agree the first few shows are always changing anyway --Lolcakes25 (talk) 08:07, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article length[edit]

The article is becoming too long for comfortable and encyclopaedic reading WP:AS WP:SIZE. I think we need to discuss what needs to be trimmed or if any sections can be completely removed. Now that the 2014 revamped tour is starting we are going to have to include more information making the article even longer. --Lolcakes25 (talk) 22:12, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

At the moment it's only 34 kB of prose, which isn't too bad. The critical reception section is quite waffly though, and contains too many quotes. Ideally, reception would be set out by ideas (e.g. commentary on vocals, then dance, then other stuff). See Zoo TV Tour for a nice example. Adabow (talk) 22:33, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Highest grossing tour by female artists[edit]

It is wrote on the page that the Mrs. Carter Show is the third highest grossing tour by a female artist, but actually it's the fifth.

According to the Wikipedia's page about List of highest-grossing concert tours :

01. Madonna (Sticky & Sweet Tour) : $407,713,266 02. Madonna (MDNA Tour) : $305,158,363 03. Céline Dion (Taking Chances Tour) : $279,200,000 04. Cher (Living Proof - The Farewell Tour) : $250,000,000 05. Beyoncé (The Mrs. Carter Show) : $229,727,960 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.21.239.133 (talk) 02:31, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I personally did not see it but it has been removed now, as do all unsourced revisions --Lolcakes25 (talk) 16:24, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ignoring the HR link included above, do talk page watchers think an article should be created for X10? ----Another Believer (Talk) 04:57, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I would suggest adding content here for now, and splitting if and when necessary. Adabow (talk) 02:30, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
