Conflicting information and out of date[edit]

Mitchells & Butler and Punch Taverns are both listed as the biggest UK pub company.

Punch Taverns Split from Punch Pub company and Punch pub company was renamed as Spirit Pub Company in 2011.

The various entries are inconsistent in layout and in the basic information given (number of pubs, key dates etc.) 92.15.194.75 (talk) 22:26, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Excessive PR blurb[edit]

In places, this page reads like a sponsored directory. It falls so far short of Wikipedia's declared 'standards' that it makes a mockery of them. As this does not seem to be a recent issue, someone is either (a) incompetent or (b) taking backhanders. Shame on you. 92.15.194.75 (talk) 22:26, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

List of companies[edit]

The list of companies completely unbalances the article. It's tedious, partially out of date, and UK-centric. I'd like to remove it; leaving a lean and succinct article explaining exactly what a pub chain is. Does anyone have any thoughts? Obscurasky (talk) 20:45, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody's commented/objected, so I've been bolt and removed these lists. They were out-of-date, incomplete, UK-centric and very, very, dull; so I don't think they're going to be missed. Obscurasky (talk) 16:33, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
