Neutrality[edit]

Does anyone else agree, that this article has too much POV? I think Lenny was a great musician, but by Wikipedia's policies, neutrality should be kept in the articles.

La Bella[edit]

The assertion re: La Bella custom string is wrong. La Bella made a 0.062 _steel_ string for Lennys custom Holmes _electric_ guitar. The whole La Bella thing is hardly worth mentioning in light of the fact that Lenny innovated the use of a high A string as the seventh string, rather than the customary low A. He settled on a Kirk Sand seven string electric tuned E A D G B E A in his last years of life. The law is: Anyone born in the U.S. is automatically a U.S. citizen. Even if he acquired additional citizenship, he remains an American because he was born in Maine.

"Like a piano"[edit]

To approach the guitar like a piano, lay the guitar on the floor, and sit on a bench in front of it. Adjust the position of the bench so that your hands can rest comfortably on the guitar's keys ...

OK, of course I'm joking. But there's good material in this article explaining at least part of what Breau actually meant by "approaching the guitar like a piano" - playing a melody and its accompaniment at the same time, in such a way that listeners can distinguish the two, and possibly in separate ranges of the instrument - but there's no source given for what is apparently a direct quotation from Breau. I was going to edit the lead section to make this odd-sounding statement more specific, using material from the quote, but there's no reference to back it up so there isn't much point.

So please, whoever quoted him (or anyone else), where can we show people the quote comes from? TooManyFingers (talk) 15:46, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
