Did you know... that when construction began on the Kauai Plantation Railway(pictured), "nobody in the crew knew how to build a train track"?

Overall: Article meets eligibility criteria - recently expanded 5x. Meets length expectations for DYK. No issues with tone. Article has no issues with Copyvio per Earwig. My suspicion is that the newspaper clippings are not searchable via Earwig. Prelim manual comparison does not seem to show any issues. QPQ done. Picture seems to be rightly released. Seems alright at the resolution. Perhaps a closer view might be good, but, this is alright. Overall - nice small article and good to go. Makes me want to go back on a holiday to Kauai. Hi @Ktin:, and thanks for the quick review. If there's a photo you feel would be better within the Commons cat for the railway [2], let me know and we can change the image. I've never been to Hawaii, but writing this article certainly made me want to visit. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 13:30, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Trainsandotherthings: I like this one. If you like that as well, we could go with that? Alternately I am good to go with your original image. Ktin (talk) 18:44, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I like that one as well, I remember using it on GE 25-ton switcher. Let's go with that one. I've added it to the article and the DYK template. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 18:49, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Super! My tick already exists on this nomination. So, we should be good. Nice work! Ktin (talk) 18:51, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A heritage railway or heritage railroad (US usage) is a railway operated as living history to re-create or preserve railway scenes of the past. Please do your research before showing up to critique others' work; I'm getting tired of you trying to poke holes in everything I bring to DYK. This is a relatively short article. As such, I don't have many issues with this article. Just a couple of things:
Does this heritage railway have a station stop or something? Perhaps a mention of that would suffice, plus an image of the stop.
There is a station, but I can't find any real coverage of it. You can actually see part of it in the photo in the infobox. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 17:47, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps more details like tourist numbers? Reception of the heritage railway?
I didn't find anything on passenger numbers, but I did find a bit of information that it was received positively by local residents, and I've added this to the article. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 17:47, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wish the lead could be fluffed up more, but given this is a short article, the lead seems fine.
Any other notable incidents during its operations?
I searched for anything on accidents, but I didn't find anything. Seems they've been running a safe railroad. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 17:47, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's all for now.--ZKang123 (talk) 01:44, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
