Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because the deletion occurred 16 years ago for "privacy reasons", presumably because of the mention of the subject's conviction for indecent assault on a child. I believe wikipedia's standards have chanaged since then, as has public practice, and it is no longer considered necessary or suitable to suppress news of a well-documented sexual assault conviction for "privacy" reasons, particularly in the wake of Operation Yewtree and the scandals around figures such as children's entertainers Jimmy Saville and Rolf Harris. I've already removed the CSD tag per your comment on your talk page; I think it's fair to have others take a look at this and they can nominate for AfD if they feel that it's not notable. We don't have the reason for deletion because the deletion discussion was blanked for privacy reasons.
