Sarshiv Rural District (Persian: دهستان سرشيو)[3] is in Sarshiv District of Marivan County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[4] It is administered from the city of Chenareh.[5]

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 5,321 in 1,081 households.[6] There were 4,434 inhabitants in 1,006 households at the following census of 2011.[7] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,876 in 1,047 households. The most populous of its 30 villages was Gugjeh, with 336 people.[2]
