Kowzareh (Persian: كوزره), also Romanized as Koozreh; also known as Gū Zereh, Kūh Zareh, Kūh Zereh, Kūrza, and Kūzra,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Shur Dasht Rural District of Shara District, Hamadan County, Hamadan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,140 in 495 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,029 people in 581 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,864 people in 557 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
