Article: The King's Speech, Talk:The King's Speech, history

Being at GA class for over six months, the article remained stable despite very high numbers of views. A recent FAC did not generate any signficatnt opposes, but failed to generate sufficient support. The article is well polished, thorough and combines all avaliable material about the film described as an "awards magnet". The well-crafted, uplifting tale swept critics' circles and its lead, Colin Firth, almost everything. The film won four Oscars in major categories. All comments are welcome. All right, here are my comments for the review:
  • Lead section - summarizes the main details of the article in a collegiate manner.
  • Plot section - meets the relevant WP:FILMPLOT guidelines of 400-700 words.
  • Production section - well covered.
  • Visual style section - also well covered.
  • Historical accuracy section - looks great.
  • Release section - well-concised here throughout.
  • Reception section - looks well-written and concise, especially in the Box Office, Critical Response and Accolades sections.
I think the article looks good to go with an A-Class nomination. Thanks, Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 04:30, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Overlooking that the plot section exceeds the 700 limit by about 20 words, the article seems excellent and compliant with guidelines in ever respect. For me the quality far exceeds ever the average Featured article, at least going by 2009 / 2010 standards when I used to be an occasional FA reviewer. Its elegantly written, exceptionally well laid out, and the article seems to have been written by editors with a keen understanding of the subject and its wider social and historical context. My only minor criticism is that there are several rather long multi clause sentences. To help regular readers, some of these could perhaps be condensed or split into shorter sentences. Overall Im delighted to be able to promote to A class! FeydHuxtable (talk) 16:06, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
