FWIW, I didn't delete the ACC trivium; an anon user removed it altogether and I returned it, albeit in footnote form. Principally, I didn't want to find myself in a revert war with an anon, and, more importantly, I found, in looking at past draft articles, that we seem to have looked with disfavor on long leads, enumerating factoids that are, though important, not of meta-concern. In any case, inasmuch as I wrote the sentence initially, I certainly concur in your decision to place it back in the lead; I write only lest you should think me to have removed the sentence. Oh, never mind, you reverted yourself! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who, using an out-of-date watchlist, has inadvertently edited an old version. I can't forgive you entirely, but only because you're a Big 12 fan. :) Joe 04:02, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Amarillo[edit]

Hey I was looking over the Amarillo article and I would consider nominating it for WP:FA over at WP:FAC. I'm trying to bring the Dallas, Texas article up to FA status, and though the main article may be a prime candidate, I've sort of shot myself in the foot by making lots of sub-articles that need filling in before I can expect a successful candidacy. Anyway, I was wondering your opinion on units.. I see that the majority of the Amarillo page is metric (us customary) .. which is what I make a habit of doing. As you might see from my talk page, I've been reprimanded rather seriously for it. I think metric precedence is a much more logical standpoint.. and as there is no strict metrication or us customary precedence standard set out at WP:MOS, I'm not sure why they're hounding me for my edits. anyway.. good work on the amarillo article. I'm impressed.. and it follows the Template for a US city very well. drumguy8800 - speak 05:14, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kimbrough Memorial Stadiu[edit]

Thank you for informing me about the Kimbrough Memorial Stadium mistake I had made. The site I generally use to find new stadiums, [www.worldstadiums.com World Stadiums], has Tom Kimbrough Stadium for West Texas A&M. I usually double check the names, dates, and capacity with the school's web site but I guess I didn't at the time I created the article. I'll send them an email informing them of the correct name. Thanks again. Patken4 10:16, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
