I will do a better job of applying citations in the future. That said, I do not understand why my edits were deleted. The page on Boise Idaho is unbelievably inaccurate. It actually states that Boise is to the east of the Rockies when it is to the west. There is no citation there, however it remains in the text. There are numerous factual inaccuracies that are not cited however they remain on the page. WestHistorian (talk) 05:30, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I should also mention that there is a lot of loaded language and basically absurd statements made on the Boise page that I started editing. As a historian and a native of Boise I would like the page to at least roughly reflect history. Such terminology as "caravans" and "incursions" have never been used in any literature in reference to the Oregon Trail. The Shoshone bands of the Boise area are not known as "groundhog eaters." And there are so many other issues... This is the first time I have visited the wiki page of Boise and I would be happy to contribute with my knowledge of Idaho and the American West.
