I see you wrote "Genesis included in Tanakh no the Genesis included in Christian old testament" in your recent edit of Melchizedek. I would ask you to study the wikipedia articles for Tanakh and for Old Testament. If you do you will discover that they are two different names for the same thing. The Genesis included in the Tanakh is exactly the same book as the Genesis in the Catholic Old Testament. In both cases they can be expressed in any language, but the Latin of the Vulgate or the Greek of the Septuagint are both just translations of the Hebrew original.

In the Italian wikipdeia you can read: "Tanàkh (raramente: Tenàkh) (תנך , TNKh) è l'acronimo cui si designano i testi sacri della Religione ebraica, la cosiddetta "Bibbia ebraica", parte dell'Antico Testamento cristiano." SamuelTheGhost (talk) 11:52, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly it also says "Antico Testamento (o anche Vecchio Testamento o Primo Testamento) è il termine, utilizzato prevalentemente in ambito cristiano, per indicare la Bibbia ebraica, detta altrimenti in ebraico Tanakh." SamuelTheGhost (talk) 13:23, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an expert nor I want to start any debate. The Bible (from greek βιβλία = biblìa, plurale di biblìon, means books) is a sacre book of the Hebrew and one of the Christian religion. If this is accepted being consolidated, Tanàkh and Bible are derived from the same sources BUT are not the same book. Nor is the Bible derived by Tanakh which was an oral tradition. If this is agreed it should be fine to mention both books reporting Melkisedech . To mention one and not the other would be therofre inaccurate. As a catholic, I beleive in Bible, and admire the Tanàkh but Tanàkh is a different text The Lone RangerHit me with a good one! 17:05, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  1. On my page you said "I have replied in my box (so to keep thread united)" so why didn't you continue to do that?
  2. You said "Nor is the Bible derived by Tanakh which was an oral tradition". I think you're confusing the Tanakh with the Talmud. The Tanakh is the Bible. The Talmud is an oral tradition, and much later.
  3. The vatican's website is www.vatican.va, not www.vaticano.vc which is what you said, and which doesn't exist.
  4. If you go to the vatican website (Italian version) and search for Tanakh, you can find you way to the following information: L'insieme delle Sacre Scritture - sia quelle ebraiche del TaNaKH (Torà, Nevi 'im e Ketuvim) che poi nel canone cristiano saranno dette Antico Testamento, ...'
  5. You gave the quotation Nelle traduzioni in lingua moderna della Bibbia, specialmente cattoliche, sono compresi alcuni libri e passi che si riscontrano nella antica traduzione greca, detta dei LXX; questi libri vengono generalmente chiamati «apocrifi» o «deuterocanonici». This is entirely correct. It refers to the extra books which have been added to the Catholic Old Testament. I admit I was slightly wrong to say that the Tanakh and the Old Testament are identical; an accurate statement is that the Old Testament contains the Tanakh, together with the extra deuterocanonical books and passages. However, this all arose from the case of Melchisedec. Melchisedec is mentioned only in Genesis and Psalms, not in any of the deuterocanonical books. Genesis and Psalms in the Tanakh are identical to Genesis and Psalms in the Old Testament, so as far is this article is concerned, Tanakh and Old Testament may be treated as synonymous. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:16, 19 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Stiga (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Animalparty! A tag has been placed on Draft:Stiga (company), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
