A tag has been placed on Category:Dart games requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Although you have typed the names of some articles onto that new category page, that is not how categories work in wikis. Please see Help:Categories for further info.

The existing category Category:Darts variants covers the same material. – Fayenatic London 16:00, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo for Top Tier.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Logo for Top Tier.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:40, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

July 2019[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Thorne Research a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Bellezzasolo Discuss 21:15, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies Bellezzasolo. The original page was also created by me and it only had a few edits. Thank you though for pointing out the error. I will be sure to move a page properly if I have to in the future.
Best,
TWJohn (talk) 23:46, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
TWJohn, yeah, I think given that you were the only editor, the concerns are lessened. If another editor had edited it, then the procedure would have required an adminsitrator to perform a technical deletion. If however, in the future, you accidentally create a page, you can add {{db-self}} at the top to request that it is deleted.
Finally, to reply to an editor, there are criteria to trigger Notifications. It's easiest to use one of the {{re}}, {{ping}}, or {{u}} family as I did in this response (and ensure you sign the post). Because you initally linked to my talk page, the mechanism didn't trigger (the signature and mention have to be done in the same edit). Thanks! Bellezzasolo Discuss 16:16, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Thorne Research requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Nomination of Thorne Research for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Thorne Research is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thorne Research until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Meeanaya (talk) 05:04, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Heidi Lavon has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I don't think these small industry blogs would meet our WP:RS standards to assert notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. –Roscelese (talkcontribs) 20:27, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Links[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you.

  • You appear to be adding a large number of links all pointing to blog articles that you may have written. User sourced blogs are not considered reliable sources. If they were written by you, they would also constitute original research, and may be considered spam. I suggest that you remove these links. O3000 (talk) 16:12, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

October 2019[edit]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Donkey (card game). It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Hello TWJohn. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:TWJohn. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=TWJohn|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Lord Belbury (talk) 17:03, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
