What vandalism would that be? o.o Did you try having a conversation with this user, or are you too busy throwing template warnings at them? – Luna Santin (talk) 00:16, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wrote two things that I can't prove (yet) and he decided that I couldn't possibly be writing anything of value. That's when I gave him an earful and he started power triping. Stinkyandthebrain (talk) 00:33, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia has a policy about biographies of living persons, WP:BLP which says that if you do not have in the article reliable sources which back up any controversial statements about living persons, those statements must be removed. Find articles in magazines or newspapers which substantiate the things you want to say. Edison (talk) 19:21, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Specifically, this editor has been adding convicted sex offenders to the category "Gay writers," apparently at random. I've blocked him for disruptive editing. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:48, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non of them are random edits Stinkyandthebrain (talk) 19:51, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Joe McCain[edit]

The article Joe McCain has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Edison (talk) 23:43, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on Joe McCain. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Specifically, it is unacceptable to say "get a clue asshole" in an edit summary. Thank you. Edison (talk) 23:49, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BTW y'all have no idea how many people in LA were part of the Klan in those days. Stinkyandthebrain (talk) 23:56, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When are you talking about and what does that have to do with anything? Edison (talk) 19:23, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The AFD for the Joe McCain article is looking up, after I pointed out some newspaper stories about him dating back to the early 1970's. The article itself could improvements and extension. Anything controversial needs solidly reliable references. Edison (talk) 23:30, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
