Re: Todd Friel[edit]

Consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Todd Friel (2nd nomination) was to delete, hence my removal of the article. If you feel this action was in error, feel free to file a request at WP:DRV. Regards, –Juliancolton | Talk 18:16, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Diamond[edit]

Thank you for trying to improve wikipedia. When you see a small brown star at the right top of an article, it means the article has been ranked as "featured article", which means high quality class on WP, and that many editors have spent time to bring it to that status. Therefore, it is a good practice to discuss changes to such pages at their talk pages first. Regards. Materialscientist (talk) 10:57, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Peter zezima requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. bonadea contributions talk 13:01, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Todd Friel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. The words you were using such as I'll just wait for a while and recreate is what was innapropriate.Hell in a Bucket (talk) 14:59, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

the uses of wikipedia.[edit]

Wikiepdia is a free, online search engine. The only thing, thought, whihc differenciates it from such engines as goole, is that it give free and detailed descriptions on most things... (The subjects are almost unlimited) One thing which i want to know, is the aim of this website to provide the best service for people using wikipedia, or is it about maintaining an environment in which users feel comfortable with... I know the rules clearly state that asuch things, like the -Stakingsin

Huh? Wikipedia is not a search engine, it hosts its own content though you can search it. The aim is both as if editors are not comfortable there wouldn't be a service to use. And the users are the editors and the editors the users so there's really no sense in preferring one over the other. Just try staying clear of the cabals hanging around the more controversial topics and remember to ~~~~. Biofase (talk) 14:26, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you put stuff on it then, is that copyrighted under your own name or does it instantly belong to wiki, in other words the community. Because i imagine it to be like buying a cd, letting everyone else use it under your own personal control. If this is so, if you create an article, can you do as you please with it, such as editing or deletion. Obviously if this also complies with standard wiki rules relating to the creation or deletion of such articles? Stakingsin (talk) 11:56, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Todd Friel[edit]

As you were already told it was deleted because of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Todd Friel (2nd nomination). frnakly the version you posted contained even less than that and contained no claim of notability. Hello, Stakingsin. You have new messages at Hell in a Bucket's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

lol yeh i know. My version was crap. All i wanted was a link of some sort as to the reasons why, and you have provided it. Thanks Stakingsin (talk) 11:36, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There should be a blue bar above the window when you are editing. Look for the button that says Cite ref. It is pretty self explanatory after that but if you need help let me know. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 15:30, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ooooh i see it now. Thanks! Stakingsin (talk) 20:00, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
