If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pan Am Flight 160 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://aviation-safety.net/database/record.php?id=19731103-1. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ...William, is the complaint department really on the roof? 18:58, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of unsourced articles[edit]

One fundamental policy at Wikipedia is that all content must be verifiable and sourced to reliable published sources. You've created several articles on aviation accidents with no sources at all. This situation can't persist - please source the content you've created so far and please stop creating unsourced articles. Furthermore, I see that some of the content you've created has had copyright issues. Please be aware that persistent unsourced content creation and copyright violations can result in removal of editing privileges if it keeps on happening. Kalitta Air Flight 207 moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Kalitta Air Flight 207, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Notice

The article Air Littoral Flight 701 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Minor accident with only one casualty. We don't include every car accident with 1 or 2 victims either.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for April 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Stornoway Airport, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Saab (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:06, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Big Chungus the 1st[edit]

Hello Speedbird6104,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Big Chungus the 1st for deletion, because it seems to be vandalism or a hoax.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hello, Speedbird6104,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Slatersteven and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Big Chungus the 1st should be deleted. Your comments are welcome over Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Big Chungus the 1st .

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Slatersteven}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Your draft article, Draft:Air France Flight 437[edit]

Hello, Speedbird6104. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Air France Flight 437".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 23:36, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi. I've deleted your draft based on administrative speedy deletion criteria. There is an entry on the list page Air France accidents and incidents, which has two citations associated with it. If you'd like to have it undeleted, I could do this and move it into your user space, or you could request undeletion via Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. I personally have only started one article in Draft space, and there is some discussion around the utility of Draft space vs. user space; I've several articles in my user space that have been 'fermenting' for several years ... and might never make it into the main space. PenAir Flight 3296[edit]

A few minor points.

  • There is no need to link common words like runway.
  • The use of the word "plane" for a fixed-winf aircraft is not good. Aircraft is preferred. "Plane2 is of course a commonly used word, and I would advise you to check where your links lead. In this case a disambiguation page.
  • There is a convention on Wikipedia that the units used in an article depend on the units used in the country of the topic. In this case, feet and inches. I've converted them; are you familiar with the convert templates?
  • Generally short words are better than long ones. Why use "impacted" when you can use "hit"?TheLongTone (talk) 16:16, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
