Wow! Thanks[edit]

for adding so many details into the 2012 WPSL Elite League season article! I didn't think anyone else would care so much about getting the details of this league prepared. The map is a great touch, too. ^.^ Though, next time you want to completely reorganize an article, could you suggest it in the talk section instead of just going with it? ;-) Anyway, thanks again for helping out so much - it's great to not have to carry the whole thing myself! Will do about the talk page. You're right and I should have consulted those of you who originally created the article. It was a brash decision on my part. If you'd like I can change it back. I was trying to model this article after the 2012 MLS season, so I wasn't arbitrarily moving the sections around. Sloclops (talk)
Yeah, I recognize the format; you don't have to change it back, it just really threw me off, I was more upset at the suddenness of the change as opposed to the change itself. No worries! CyMoahk (talk) 01:05, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that I hate stepping on people's toes. Sloclops (talk) 01:30, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Boston Breakers[edit]

May I inquire as to why the WPS page was moved to WPSL? While I understand that the franchise has changed leagues, it's already been established that the team had a different page for its WUSA participation here. This is also shown with Atlanta Beat (WUSA) and Atlanta Beat (WPS) and loosely with Washington Freedom when they became magicJack. Let's make sure it's consistent one way or another. Suggestions? GauchoDude (talk) 16:10, 24 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It was my thinking that since it's a natural continuity of the team that just switched leagues, similar to minor league hockey and baseball, instead of ceasing to play for a significant amount of years, but the franchise name, colors, etc. still exist, the name is a reflection of their second continuing existence. The name change itself is to help with the disambiguation. When it comes down to it, it's really whether these teams should be divided or grouped together. The reasons that the WUSA teams were split off from their WPS teams, I don't think apply just because it is the same team that was in WPS and not the WUSA (similar to the Western New York Flash who is in their 4th year and 3rd league and same team throughout).

Thanks for your confirmation here. The user who made the change initially Pikachu09081998 has a history of garbage edits and I had little choice but to revert a lot of stuff they submitted. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:02, 18 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
