A tag has been placed on National Milk Producers Federation requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. June 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from National Milk Producers Federation, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Empty Buffer (talk) 13:21, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with National Milk Producers Federation. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Empty Buffer (talk) 13:27, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To avoid copyright infringement it is not sufficient to make a few minor changes in wording. The text of National Milk Producers Federation is still quite unmistakably based very closely indeed on [1]. It is also important to realise that, even if the copyright issue is addressed, an article which appears to be intended to promote an organisation is likely to be deleted. If you want an article on the topic you should write it from a neutral point of view. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:32, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen your post to Talk:National Milk Producers Federation, saying "I will e-mail the NMPF asking for permission to copy most of the text of their "purpose" page, but I am confident they will be OK with it." It is important to realise that all text published on Wikipedia is released for reuse under very general licensing terms. It is not enough for the federation to be happy for their text to be shown in a Wikipedia article: they must be happy for it to then be used by anyone in the world in a very wide variety of situations. Since their web site says "© Copyright 2010, National Milk Producers Federation. All Rights Reserved" it is very unlikely that they will be willing to grant such a wide-ranging license. A tag has been placed on JAMF software requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:23, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
