July 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not include unsupported or inaccurate statements. Whenever you add possibly controversial statements about a living person to an article or any other Wikipedia page, as you did to Nalin de Silva, you must include proper sources. If you don't know how to cite a source, you may want to read Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for guidelines. Thank you. The material you added came substantially came from a forum posting. Material in Wikipedia, particularly about living people, must have reliable sources. MAHEWAtalk 04:16, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I am an editor here at Wikipedia and currently working in our area of Biographies of Living Persons. We have received a complaint that some of your edits that you are making are being considered "problematic" and "bias". While I think of your edits as in good faith, some editors have raised issues with them so I would like to make an attempt to talk with you and resolve the issues. The article I am referring to is Nalin de Silva, where you have seemed to make edits that can cause a conflict of interest. While your edits are cited, they are not neutral, or unbiased. We here at Wikipedia have a policy regarding the neutrality of articles. You need to make sure what you are adding to these articles is from a neutral point of view and not one that makes the subject of the article look "good" or "bad". While the citing of the facts is important, the neutrality of it is just as important as well. I kindly request that you stop making edits like this to that page. Thank you.  JoeGazz  ▲  18:12, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Joe! I did the addition that you pointed out but after MAHEWA asked me to watch the tone I removed it. I do get what you're saying and if you have a look at the page now you will see that I've cleaned it up a lot. And yes, I will avoid shit like that in the future. I appreciate your cooperation as well as the rest of the Wikipedia community. Thank you for cleaning up the article.  JoeGazz  ♂  19:36, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Warning against vandalism[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Nalin de Silva, you may be blocked from editing. historyDoca (talk)

Really? You think copying and pasting on my page the warning that Materialscientist gave you on your page is somehow going to help start a discussion about what should and should not be on this page? If you're going to remove stuff then at least explain in the Talk page of the article why you're doing it. Since this is not a personal issue I'd rather you didn't leave messages about this here.Sanjaythelostboy (talk) 09:26, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
