Speedy deletion nomination of Aurora country club[edit]

Copyright problems[edit]

I appreciate your efforts to rewrite William B. Langford after it was first marked as a close paraphrasing problem, but I am concerned that after your efforts to rewrite, you added the following:

The property also features European-inspired stone walls and bridges which still stand today. The large Judson tower stands at 140 feet and has 121 spiral stairs to an observation area at the top. With its lighted cross, still stands as a landmark today.

This pdf says, at page 28:

It also says:

The estate was sold to the H. O. Stone Company...which in 1928-1929 built an 18-hold golf course and an 81 room hotel... After a depression-era bankruptcy, creditors ran the estate...until it was purchased by the Northern Baptist Assembly in 1943 as the national training center for that denomination.

Text you added says:

So that it does not constitute a derivative work, all content you add to Wikipedia must be written completely from scratch, unless you are using brief quotations that are clearly marked as quotations for the kind of good reasons set out at our non-free content guidelines. The essay Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing contains some suggestions for rewriting that may help avoid these issues in the future. The article Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2009-04-13/Dispatches, while about plagiarism rather than copyright concerns, also contains some suggestions for reusing material from sources that may be helpful, beginning under "Avoiding plagiarism".

It is very important that you understand this issue and comply, as future copying may lead to your account being blocked from contribution. One or two sentences copied from a source may not seem like a big deal on its own, but when you multiply that across the millions of articles we host, you can come to a major problem.
