November 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Wham2001. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Vellore Fort and Tourism in India have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Wham2001 (talk) 11:30, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Tourism in India, you may be blocked from editing. Your edit is not supported by the source cited in the article. If you want to include Velore in that list you need to find a more reliable source which says it is in the top five most visited Indian cities. Wham2001 (talk) 12:16, 23 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

After looking through your contribution history I've reverted a few more of your edits. Please bear the following in mind when writing:

  • Content placed in Wikipedia articles should be derived from published, reliable sources such as academic articles and books, and articles in serious, reputable newspapers. It should not be based only on the writer's opinion or experiences. See the verifiability policy, which is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
  • The edit summary is to describe your edit to other editors. You should only write "fixing typo" if that is what your edit does. Adding a paragraph of new text is not fixing a typo.
  • Whilst promoting the tourist industry of Tamil Nadu is a worthy aim, Wikipedia should be written from a neutral point of view, which is not consistent with it being used for advertising or promotion.

I'm happy to see that you are keen to contribute to our encyclopedia; please have a look at the links I've given here and in the welcome message above to get a better idea of how your contributions can help us improve Wikipedia for everybody. Best, Wham2001 (talk) 06:35, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Please do not use misleading edit summaries like "fixed typo" when that is not, in fact, what you are doing. At:-

you summarised your edits as "fixed typo" when you were, in fact, making undesirable, unsourced content changes. These changes have been reverted as will future, similar ones. Please see WP:RS, WP:REFB and provide citations for your future changes and describe your changes honestly and accurately, to avoid them being reverted again and wasting both your own time and that of others. Thank you. -- Begoon 06:49, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

November 2019[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did on Katpadi Junction railway station. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 03:37, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
