Zhenbao Island and Sino-Soviet border conflict articles edits[edit]

Please abstain from making changes that are not well integrated into the article - they worsen the article readability and thus, are subject to rollback.

Please, note that the Wikipedia strives to present a neutral point of view and the facts are that both sides claim that they were victorious in the armed confrontation and there are sources that support both of them. There are no definite proofs that either side controlled the island (i.e. had troops on it) immediately after the confrontation, thus awarding victory to one side doesn't seem reasonable.

Additionally, please note a distinction between the armed confrontation on the island and the resulting border demarcation talks that ended with the island being transferred to China - the Sino-Soviet border conflict article is about the armed confrontation ("conflict"), not about the border demarcation - there is a separate 1991 Sino-Soviet Border Agreement article for that topic.
