Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Lynn Sweat. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Is it a good idea to microwave this? requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article Gravity Falls has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Violates WP:CRYSTAL. No sources, no real information, no point to having this at this time IMHO.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Good Luck Charlie (Film), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

The article Blake Michael has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. PamD (talk) 16:24, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Zack Michael requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Hello!

Thank you for contributing and finding a place on Wikipedia. I have suppressed a number of revisions to your userpage involving personal information about yourself. Please take particular care about what personal information you place about yourself on your userpage if you choose to identify as a minor. Let me know by email if you have any questions. Your rollback request[edit]

Hi Rtucker913, I have granted rollback rights to your account in accordance with your request. Please be aware that rollback should be used to revert vandalism/spam/blatantly unconstructive edits, and that using it to revert any other type of edit (such as by revert-warring or reverting edits you disagree with) can lead to it being removed from your account...sometimes without any warning depending on the admin who becomes aware of any misuse. If you think an edit should require a reason for reverting, use a manual edit summary instead of using the rollback tool. For practice, you may wish to see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. Good luck. Acalamari 13:21, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. We don't block IP addresses indefinitely except under very unusual circumstances (which do not apply in this case). Also, the blocking admin decides the duration of any block, not the requesting editor.

Having said, thanks for watching over our content and reporting this IP! --A. B. (talkcontribs) 03:40, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize about that, I don't always know the rules of blocking users. Thanks for letting me know. rtucker913 (talk) 03:41, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just let the blocking admin place the template when he/she blocks the account.
Again, thanks for the help! --A. B. (talkcontribs) 03:49, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Two suggestions[edit]

Hi Rtuck913, congratulations on your rollback and barnstar and such :)

I have a couple of suggestions:

  1. When you have some time, you should read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors
  2. You may like to consider applying to enroll at WP:CVUA

Hi Rtucker913 - I think that it is very relevant to include the conversion factor from 1 PetaMeter to Light Years. How is this not useful? If you want me to get a better source for my citation, just say so, but undoing the whole change is a little overboard, don't you think? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.117.212.38 (talk) 01:11, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Her or his[edit]

Dear Rtucker913,

I was attempting to insert a link to Margaret Thatcher's wikipage using the word "her," placed in front of the words "or his," because the article in question erroneously refers to the office of the Prime Minister of the UK using only the male pronoun, instead of using both the male and female pronouns. I think this would be more accurate in historical terms, and I have included the following quote from Margaret Thatcher's wikipedia page to illustrate my point:

"She was the longest-serving British Prime Minister of the 20th century and is the only woman to have held the office."

In my opinion, continuing to (whether consciously or unconsciously) disregard half of the population of the earth, even in what would appear to be the most trivial of circumstances, will result in unintended and potentially damaging tensions within, and between societies.

Please excuse my technical ineptitude; I have not yet fully understood how to edit a wikipedia page in the correct manner.

Thank you very much for the time and expertise you invest in furthering the education of people everywhere. I very much appreciate the amount of rigorous research and dedication you, and others like you, undertake in the name of education.

Sincerely,

Moritz Landgrebe — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.229.175.41 (talk) 09:27, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
