Welcome[edit]

Hello, Rob.spradling and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Thanks, EDG 543 (talk) 19:15, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Article Vetting[edit]

Here are my comments on the articles you've selected, Rob:

The Witcher (TV Series) - The talk page is fairly active and a bit contentious; it might be difficult to implement significant edits here.

The Witcher (video game) - This article could be a good fit, since one section has been flagged and it may need to be updated. The talk page is extensive but more civil.

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine - This is a great fit and the best of the Witcher articles you've chosen--needs an overhaul re: structure and it's stalled for a few years. Also a fantastic game, but that's neither here nor there.

Google Pixel: - I'm not sure whether this would be a good fit, unless you know it needs to be updated.

Dual Analog Controller: - Seems like a strong contender, since it's been flagged for issues and needs work.

Overall: I recommend choosing Witcher 3 and Dual Analog Controller for this project, but it's ultimately your call. Let me know when you have chosen your two articles; happy to chat further with you on this project if you have questions. Spike Mugiwara (talk) 01:15, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your articles[edit]

  • Alang Fort Alang Fort
    • There are some challenges here. It's been edited recently so might present some interaction, but it does need someone to come in and think about what is appropriate for wikipedia and how to organize this information. Do-able, as long as you're willing to a) be bold and b) be careful and diplomatic about how you use Wikipedia policies to work with it.
  • Legal ethics. Legal ethics'
    • This one is super interesting since it really isn't well developed. I think that to really develop this, it would require a bit more content added, but you might be able to do it by taking a heavy hand in thinking about how it should be organized and forcing it into that form and leaving space for future editors to add to it. If you know something about Legal ethics you might be able to do a bit of that yourself too.
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
    • A featured article -- no go.
  • Indianapolis 500 Indianapolis 500
    • A surprisingly good one. A lot of content but no one seems to have really thought about how it should be organized and such. The organization doesn't necessarily make sense. A challenge just for how long it is but do-able.
  • 23 Blast 23 Blast
    • Ooo, you found a good movie to do. This one has all the right organization but isn't really written in wikipedia style. Needs a lot of rewriting.

You have some good options here. I've added the four I said were good to the WikiEdu dash. Grab the two you want. Etherfire (talk) 16:04, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
