Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

Your contributed article, The Imposter Messiah[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, The Imposter Messiah. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Masih ad-Dajjal. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Masih ad-Dajjal – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Bazj (talk) 12:25, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a case of article duplication, but a case of changing the title of the article from Arabic to English. "Masih ad-Dajjal" is not an English title.--Religions Explorer (talk) 13:02, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As explained below, cutting-and-pasting is not the way to move pages. Effectively you're stealing credit for the work of many other editors. Bazj (talk) 13:08, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

December 2015[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give The Imposter Messiah a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Bazj (talk) 12:26, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Masih ad-Dajjal has been in place for over 12 years. If you want to move it you need to establish WP:Consensus on the article's talk page before doing anything. Bazj (talk) 12:29, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As Bazj says, moving the article is too drastic.
What we can do is set up some redirects. We need to be careful not to assume whether the users are looking for Jewish, Christian or Islamic concepts as the name is generic enough to cover all three. False messiah redirects to List of messiah claimants, which is good as that covers all the relevant religions. I have redirected Imposter Messiah (no need for "The" as there can be more than one imposter) to the same place.
The next thing we can do is make sure that List of messiah claimants, in addition to linking to specific claimants, also links to the articles about the Dajal and the Christian Antichrist. That way, anybody following that search will get to these subjects, if that is what they want. I'm going to have a look at the best way to do that now. --DanielRigal (talk) 20:11, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have linked that now. --DanielRigal (talk) 20:51, 26 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contentious edits[edit]

Please refrain from making substantive changes to the lead section of Muhammad without explaining your reasoning in the edit summary and particularly the talk page. Twice now you have made substantive changes without explanation; this is something that shouldn't be done in a contentious article that is currently under discretionary sanctions. The WP:BURDEN is on you to support them on the talk page. Please do that, instead of making the change yet a third time. Thanks. ~Amatulić (talk) 09:39, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No the burden is on you now, since my changes were approved by other editors.--Religions Explorer (talk) 09:43, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Where did this approval take place? I have added a section to the talk page for you to respond. ~Amatulić (talk) 09:47, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 12 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

This is related to the issue raised at the administrators' noticeboard — in short, edit-warring at the Muhammad article. Aside from everything else, articles suffer when they keep getting switched back and forth; a reader who pauses to go elsewhere and then returns may discover that the text he was reading has disappeared, or he may discover another chunk of text interspersed, and the end result is a significantly confused reader. Please don't keep up on the reverting: instead, please be willing to chat at the talk page about disputed edits, or (like I normally do) just drop the issue and go somewhere else. I'm not trying to punish you; my point in blocking you is merely to prevent the aforementioned confusion for readers. The "you have been blocked" box includes directions to request an unblock; if you give a reason of "I'm willing to drop the issue" or "I'm willing to discuss these issues at the talk page", I expect you'll be unblocked, although of course please follow through with your pledge, because returning to the actions that prompted the block will probably lead to a longer block. Only warning[edit]

If you pull a stunt like this one again, you'll be blocked and for a good while longer than the last time! Favonian (talk) 20:21, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The edit linked as "this one" was the biggest reason for this block, although your other edits since the first block's expiration also factored into it. Please stop this kind of stuff immediately; this block is 24x as long as the first one, and if you keep it up, the next block might continue the trend. You son of a bitch. I don't care if you block this acount or not jackass. God damn you and all the nasty trolls on this website--Explorer999 (talk) 04:56, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
