Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. : ) Wanted to remind you to sign talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Since you are editing an article related to a controversial topic, I encourage you to read WP:NPOV, WP:V, WP:NOR, and WP:RS, WP:Civil, WP:3RR, and WP:AGF. Hopefully these articles will help you understand the best way to find consensus with other editors. regards, FloNight talk 23:49, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! And I have read those articles. Razzendahcuben 00:03, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Trolling is deliberating posting false or provoking information for the sake of arguing. I, on other hand, soundly refuted your misconceptions---therefore the Eugenie Scott article should be changed to accurately reflect the dichotomy between ID and creationism. The fact that you can't provide a real response to my charges is very telling of the incompetence of either yourself or the position you seem incapable of defending. Razzendahcuben, your actions since you created your new account have been pretty aggressive. I think you need to review the policies that I noted above. I will make several suggestions.
Perhaps, you should make your comments on the talk page of the article and wait for other editors to reply. There is no urgency to make the changes to this article. You need to take your time and build consensus. This has to be done at the pace of all the article's editors.
Calling someone incompetent is not acceptable. WP:NPA and WP:Civil states that this type of comment is not okay. In this regard you need to change your tone. regards, FloNight talk 19:07, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Duncharris is blinded by his bias, and I have looked at the many other comments posted on his talk page and he clearly is predisposed towards distorting ID and creationist positions. Therefore I am curious what other strategy you would suggest I take. I was under the impression that a "discussion" page involved just that---discussion, but so far Duncharris has responded with trite, irrelevant comments that are anything but discussion. This really gives me a dim view of open-mindedness and community one would expect to find behind Wikipedia. Razzendahcuben 22:09, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I'm curious why I am told by 2 people that I should be more civil for calling Duncharris incompetent (which he clearly demonstrated himself to be---I wasn't using it as a perjorative), but when he refers to me as a 'brainless cretinist troll' no one blinks an eye... I suggest go to the Talk:Eugenie Scott [1] and make very specific comments. You need to back up your suggested changes with a WP:RS. It is very important to offer the suggestions in a friendly manner. There is no urgency for these changes . I use a 1RR. That means I don't change an edit back more than once. Except for removing copyright violations and highly inflammatory libel, the content does not need to change immediately. Offer your suggestions, then go edit a another article. Someone will comment and then you can reply. Over time, and it may be days, weeks, or even months; consensus will develop in your favor if you have a WP:V, encyclopedic suggestion.
Regarding why your uncivil comments got a reply. I left the message on your user page becasue I thought you needed some advice since you were new to WP. My suggestions are based on what I would do. What you are doing doesn't seem to be working, so giving this a try won't hurt. But it is completely up to you. : } FloNight talk 00:21, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
