Spoiler warnings[edit]

G'day

I share your concern over the removal of spoiler warnings.

ISTM that we should err here on the side of having the warnings, as basic nettiquette. But, their removal is part of a larger process, where Wikipedia is becoming more formal and academic in tone. So I'm not sure we'll win this one! But keep me posted. Andrewa 11:24, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please, if you feel strongly about this issue, come to Wikipedia_talk:Spoiler and participate in the discussion. Another voice can never hurt. That said, while I'm also not confident that we'll get spoiler tags reinstated as they were previously, I do think we're getting to the point where compromises might be a bit more reasonable than the current guideline of "Spoilers are appropriate anywhere but spoiler tags are appropriate almost nowhere (with exceptions completely undefined)". Good point and I intend to. I'm watching, but I'm not quite sure just how to contribute constructively at this stage. I wanted to say I appreciate your efforts. Hang in there! Andrewa 22:50, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
