Peer Review for Tlaltecuhtli[edit]

Your article is a massive improvement! I would say be careful in a few places to sound more impartial, or sight a source that gives the opinion. For example:

"even greater than the Calendar Stone" implies a certain significance beyond physical size that I'm not sure you intend to imply
carving placed "face down to hide her hideousness" but there isn't a citation for somebody describing the objects with that word. Hideousness is rather subjective and the sentence is implying a motive, so should probably be accompanied by a source.

In general, I think it is better to end paragraphs with a source, especially if they diverge from the previous topic. Your last point in the header and in the gender debate section are examples of that.

Overall, really good stuff! You have good images, although I might recommend using a more overhead view of the monolith -- in the templo mayor museum, the floor space above is cut out so that from the second and third floors you can see it more directly. If a pic isn't readily available, lmk and I can look through my camera roll. I'm sure I have a decent one I can donate to wiki commons. Benito (talk) 02:59, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your article looks great! You have a lot of good information and I found the sections of the page useful and informative.

Some suggestions I have include:

In the section "Representation in Art," I wonder if there is a more neutral or descriptive word to use instead of "monster"
The phrase "an embodiment of the raging chaos before creation" as the beginning of the Creation Narrative section is unclear
You can remove the phrase "According to the myth" in the Creative Narrative section
Try to avoid phrases such as "The goddess was also believed to," which implies there are not people who still practice this religion
Are you sure the monolith sculpture is the largest discovered? A 20-ton sculpture believed to be Chalchiuhtlicue was discovered at the Pyramid of the Moon

Providing information for a file you uploaded[edit]

Hi, I noticed that a file you uploaded to the Commons [1] could be deleted because you did not provide information regarding its copyright status (images shared to the Commons must be shareable under certain licenses for legal reasons. Hi, me again! You're creating a lot of high-quality work, nicely done! I noticed that on the article Stone of Motecuhzoma I, however, you introduced content without providing a citation. In general, it is a red flag for any paragraph to end without a citation. I added some citation needed tags to the article—please go through and add citations in in the appropriate places.
