April 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Njd-de. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Dictator have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. NJD-DE (talk) 11:21, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Contributions to Dictator article[edit]

Hello Osmnvc15 and welcome to Wikipedia! I notice you've recently been making contributions to the dictator article. As this is a contentious topic, I need to ask you to ensure you include verifiable sources with your additions, or they may be removed in future if they aren't sufficiently cited. Such sources can often be found in the main articles for the people themselves, but if they don't exist there, that's all the more reason to ensure your additions come with sources (especially when it comes to adding living persons to the list, due to the potential for libel). If you have any questions about these policies, let me know, and I would be happy to run through them with you.--Grnrchst (talk) 22:15, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

June 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Hydrogenation. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Abid Hamid Mahmud, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Hydrogenation (talk) 18:27, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. - AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 11:47, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Important Notice[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

January 2022[edit]

Information icon Hi Osmnvc15! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Hibatullah Akhundzada that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. ― Tartan357 Talk 11:04, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Hillary Clinton does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Missvain (talk) 00:39, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
