Got it! "You're a slug-head, Brian!" At least he didn't change it to "knockers"... :D Orethrius (talk) 07:20, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, since nobody else has done it yet: Welcome!

Hello, Orethrius, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Secondly, thanks for the kind words — actually, I'm quite a perfectionist, so I enjoy doing that. Best wishes, dewet| 21:43, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Seasons v Seasons[edit]

Thanks for the notice; I doubt there's much more that you can do. As you already mentioned, the bots will delete those images soon if they're not tagged properly, and due to the artist still being alive, they are most likely copyvios... dewet| 08:53, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Seasons_(Nadia_Russ).jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Seasons_(Nadia_Russ).jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:34, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't like to leave issues unresolved, so please be aware that that image was originally introduced by a Wikipedian that failed to source it and disrupted an existing article in the process. It was moved and the original uploader asked to provide the appropriate information at the new location (or to me, that I may update its status). As I have received no such contact here or via email, I can only assume that either the image is now properly sourced or it has been summarily deleted. If the former is not the case, the latter certainly has my blessings.  :) Orethrius 16:37, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Thank you for your kindness, Orethrius. It makes a big difference. :-) SlimVirgin (talk)(contribs) 21:36, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's always nice to be a friend. Nobody enjoys haters. As for the superhuman hours I hear you're keeping... here's a metaphorical case of Jolt Cola to keep you up. :) Orethrius (talk) 21:43, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Just a Poor Misguided Twit Commenting on Your Talkpage[edit]

This is not my finest hour. For what little it's worth, I came into a discussion late in its discourse, and commented on what I thought to be a fairly obvious case of WP:OWN. This devolved into a bitter debate on an article's talk page, Jnavas' talk page, and my own talk page. If I thought it'd make a difference in how Jnavas views me, I'd apologize for my foolishness in getting involved in an area of experience where my knowledge was only cursory and pertaining to a legal concern. Orethrius (talk)

FYI, I've responded to your personal comments in User talk:Jnavas#Just a Poor Misguided Twit Commenting on Your Talkpage. In the future, if you wish to give me advice, that (and only that) is the proper place. Your lecture and gratuitous advice on the Compact Disc Talk page was inappropriate and unbalanced. --John Navas (talk) 20:40, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh! I'm sorry to lend my opinion on YOUR article's talk page! I don't see why YOU insist on re-adding a GALLERY of fair-use images when the project is having legal issues of its own, but would you like me to hazard a guess? I don't think you'd like to hear what I think you're trying to do here. Orethrius (talk) 16:08, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Aikido talk page[edit]

Howdy Orethrius, Thank you for helping to keep the aikido page at featured status. Having said that, if you have no interest in the art or article, there there are more than enough of us watching it, as we have since well before it became a featured article and we helped police it through appearing on the front page. We will not allow the page to slowly degrade, so you do not need to worry about that - and there is certainly no need to worry about or respond to everything that an anonymous editor says, so feel free to take a step back. If you must comment, simply keep your message simple and non-personal: there must be sources. That's all we need to say. Have fun! —Mrand TalkC 14:53, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

July 2011[edit]

This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, as you did at Rorschach test, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Ryan Vesey Review me! 05:55, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

:: Go for it. Don't forget to ignore the bullshit contentiousness on that page when you do so, too; we wouldn't want Wiki admins thinking they're subject to the same rules as everyone else, now would we? Orethrius (talk) 05:59, 31 July 2011 (UTC) [reply]

Here, let me help you a bit. You ignored my past contributions since you tend to get yours approved first, so here's something that'll open your eyes. Or get me banned. Either way, no skin off my nuts anymore... Orethrius (talk) 06:02, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

July 2011 : Personal Attacks[edit]

Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Orethrius, whilst you were article blanking, I think you may have forgotten one of Wikipedia's golden rules. Assume Good Faith, without personal attacks, such as this edit which is unacceptable. -- MelbourneStar☆ (talk to me) 06:08, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just for the record, if you hear of any crime news in the East Bay Area, it'll be from me killing my roommate for this little stunt. I don't think I can get to my old e-mail account to get my "newly reformed" password anymore, does anyone know how else I can fix this little... spectacle? Or am I going to have to resort to a cigar slicer to get it out of him? I know my credibility is probably shot here now, but I'm genuinely sorry for any damage done. Hopefully, I'll be able to fix this... :( — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.224.27.52 (talk) 06:16, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pop Quiz, Kiddies![edit]

Which is dumber - using a dictionary password, or leaving your "brilliant, unguessable, randomized" password on a Post-It hanging from your PlayStation? I'll give you three guesses how I got back in - and the first two don't count. Very lulzy, 'tis 'tis. Again, sorry for the trouble! Orethrius (talk) 07:13, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This guy really is a total doof. At least I got the URL to a good "random password generator" site out of this mess. Sorry again! :( Orethrius (talk) 07:16, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
